One does not have to look very far today or listen to information very long to hear others talk about the total craziness and many very dangerous situations that are seemingly everywhere you turn. Jesus warned us about a terrible time in Matthew 24 that He called the great tribulation on earth. A time when evil will attempt to rule over and enslave mankind and many will die and suffer before Christ returns to rule His creation. If you believe God's Word is true you must know this day is coming in the future. And by the signs He gave (wars, disease, pestilence, earthquakes and false teachers rising up all over) we may be near those times. Are you considering these things?
Today people are concerned about things such as economic instability, the food supply, gasoline or home heating fuel, communism, inflation, terrorist attacks, the one world order, natural disasters, even our own government and its ever growing control over peoples lives and freedoms. How can you be prepared or should you even consider these things? We hear about shows on TV (we don't have a TV) where they focus on the lives of people they call preppers. Those who are stock piling things and making ready for very tough times. Is there any wisdom in trying to be somewhat prepared; if not a radical prepper? Are you prepared for hard times if and when they come?
Most Americans are not very connected with real important facts and they care more about sports scores then they do be wise and preparing for the future. They will often say that it is silly to even worry about such things since you cant control them, so why even consider them at all? I would ask them this; imagine a huge tornado headed right for your home and since you can't stop it, would you just let your family be swept away? Or would you do what you could to protect them from it if you had the time to prepare? Of course you would protect them. Honestly, it would take a very foolish person to look around and NOT see that America and the world is headed right for some very tough times indeed. The main question here would be; are you prepared for what may be coming just down the road? Is there wisdom to being aware and prepared for future trials? We think they certainly is wisdom in it all the while keeping a proper perspective that ONLY God's Word can give us.
As we discern how to live and seek the truth in God's Word; we will see what it has to say about the matter. On a practical note let us share with you some areas that we have learned are very important in one's personal life if they desire to be in a wise and prepared place as the world slips further into evil and tribulation to come. Consider these areas will you?
Are you born again / do you have eternal life?
Before anyone should concern themselves about preparing for a earthly future; they need to make sure they are in truly Christ and have eternal life. No matter how you prepare for life here, when you die it is all meaningless unless your truly in Christ.
And we do not mean you go to a denominational building or that you are religious. Jesus said "you must repent and be born again" / Luke 13;3 & John 3:3 This also means as fruit you will walk in His ways and not mans false traditions (1 john) Please consider that first will you? Be Ready to Serve/Worship God and Spread the Gospel.
It is a sad fact that most who "claim" Christ today are NOT strong biblical soldiers of the Lord but they are biblically ignorant false and worldly converts. Why? Because most people are caught in the unbiblical trap of denominational religion or their own belief system that is outside of God's Word and Truth. Many men are paying a modern pastor to put on shows weekly and do their studying and teaching of their families for them. This is both wrong and lazy before the Lord. Sadly they are not in the truth themselves. Very few people who claim to be Christians have any clue what the Word says about the gospel, the future and tribulation to come. They are not discerning the times and knowing how to live and what to do for God's glory. As in other countries like China, the believers have had to go under ground into house churches to fellowship in truth. When persecution comes to America the religious buildings on every corner will cave into the governments threats and the gospel truth will be taught there "even less" than it is today, if that is possible? The answer for this is found in the Lord's biblical New Testament church body that meets in homes and has no buildings or paid modern pastors but many men who are stepping up, growing up to lead, proclaim the gospel and teach others the Word, even unto death. If you're just sitting a pew watching paid clergy men... you may not be walking in the saving truth at all! Are you a Berean studying His word daily? ( Acts 17 ) Are you examining your own life to see if your in the faith? ( 2 Corinthians 13:5 ) If not, you won't be ready for the testing time ahead when you're called on to spread His gospel or when your own neck may be placed on a chopping block if you won't denounce faith in the Living Lord. I beg of you to get into God's Word today and begin to practice His NT body life now. If you do you will be ready for the future to come no matter what; rather than sitting idle in a pew supporting a false religious system of man's creation that is teaching you little of lasting eternal value. Simple and Self Reliant Living.
Today people have many material things but not what is really needed to have a quality life or to survive in hard times. With some down sizing and letting go of toys and frills you would be amazed at what you can secure for yourself and your family in real the way of assets & needs for the future. Also because of the shift of people into cities (off farms) and the rise of the Walmart super store mindset, most people rely on this consumerist system to provide food and most everything for their families. Sadly most people could not survive even for a very short term without
these systems in place and functioning for them. In the event of a major shut down, a wise person should plan for the ability to have saved up some resources to care for their families and neighbors. This may include extra cash on hand, food and water storage, medical needs and looking into how to be more self reliant on a daily basis. Other examples are growing a garden, buying bulk foods to store, weapons for hunting for meat, extra clothes and blankets, having alternative heat sources like wood, knowing how to function without electricity and have the basic skills and tools ahead of time to get along on your own for a extended period of time if you had to. Again wisdom is the key and God's Word teaches that indeed.
Proverbs 6 says:
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
Get Something of Real Value With the Money The Lord Has Entrusted to You
If you look closely at any of the current economic developments you can easily see that the dollar is slowly being destroyed by the printing of more worthless paper money. Many feel this is the plan of globalists who want America to fall so the one world system can rise up just as Revelation 13 foretold long ago. The fact is that soon your extra dollars (if you have some) will have NO buying power and so it would be wise to look ahead and do something wise with it while you can. Some options or choices may include owning some rural land to move to or raise a garden on, having extra living space for others, tools and equipment that will be valuable in a economic collapse where you have to be self reliant and turning some of your paper investments like a 401K and cash into real hard goods like precious metals. When the dollar collapse comes and it will; your money will be worth a 10th of what it is worth today while precious metals and hard assets like land or tools may very well have lasting value to come. The bible teaches us that we are to be wise with the money God has given us. To just sit back and let the economic storm that is coming destroy your ability to have real hard assets to provide for your family or others is not wise but really foolish indeed! Be Ready to Help Others
God's Word tells believers to one another each other over 50 times in the New Testament. We are to care for and love each other along with widows and orphans especially. (See James 1:27)
Many people will believe that if you store up food or any goods and prepare for tough times that you must be greedy and want to have piles of food and stuff for yourself. (They may be watching too much TV.) See where Joseph was wise and prepared for famine.
Genesis 41 Then the seven years of plenty which were in the land of Egypt ended, 54 and the seven years of famine began to come, as Joseph had said. The famine was in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. 55 So when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread. Then Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph; whatever he says to you, do.” 56 The famine was over all the face of the earth, and Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold to the Egyptians. And the famine became severe in the land of Egypt. 57 So all countries came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all lands.
A worthy goal for any Christian is to work hard, be wise and to be in a position to supply goods to both your family and others should a terrible time come to this nation. By living simply (within your means) and slowly planning ahead, over time you can be in a place to glorify the Lord and others as it is needed. That is great wisdom at play don't you think?
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Ephesians 4
Work Hard To Owe No Man Anything and Save For Your Future Needs.
This means to pay off ALL your debts and your house and have extra saved up for your needs; even if you have to down size to do it. Americans are in such HUGE debt today and this is bondage of a most terrible kind. I can speak of the AMAZING freedom it brings a family by not owing other people anything! It gives you freedom and flexibility to do what you must for God, your family and others no matter what may be coming. If we follow His Word it has lasting wisdom and application for us no matter what we are about to encounter. Some say a global depression is on the way. Others say America will fall as a world leader and be a third world like nation full of poverty and death. The fact is most Americans are NOT prepared for anything like that at all! It is sad to think some people will spend all year planning their week long vacation of fun while they spend zero time considering how secure they are or if they are reliant on the worlds system or themselves to survive in harder times? Many will end up in government bread lines and homeless because they lived lives are far outside of the truth from the God of Creation. Don't be one of them!
Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.

We recently had someone say to us that they aren't worried about saving up anything or placing their extra money in a safe place for the future. They said they will just ....trust in Jesus.
We have to wonder will that same man being standing in his front yard with his family just watching as that giant tornado comes and sweeps them all away? We sure hope not! We hope that he is examining himself and getting in line with God's Word for him and his family. (2 corth 13:5)
We want to make sure we say this so you see our heart on this matter. We are NOT to WORRY about the future, not at all. Jesus told us not to worry or be anxious.
Matthew 6
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
But we know from scripture we are to take care of our families and scripture cannot contradict scripture can it?

To be biblical you are not to worry about the future but you should be wise and be about planning for it and what you know is coming (and perhaps soon).
