A person would have to be totally blind to not see that America and the world is caught up in entertainment idolatry. We were before we were made new in Christ. At every turn there are offerings of entertainment to tease ones flesh. It runs deep into news, all media, sports, education, hobbies and movies and far beyond. People love to be distracted into entertaining their flesh with many different things of the day.
The world will do what it does and it is no surprise that people who are connected to its offerings are addicted to it like a man on heroin.
For this article let us look at how the protestant/evangelical religious world is also a junkie for being entertained today. Have you ever considered the facts about this issue? Do you realize that your Sunday church system is really based off of the same entertainment ideal and we can prove it to you if you read on.
As you enter into a theater what you find is the following :
A stage
Seating rows for a paying crowd
Paid actors/directors
Trained performers / singers
Music/tv screens/ lights and props
A planned show run by a clock
Often multiple show times are offered
Food is often offered
It is open to the world
They run special shows during the year to draw more new comers
This is all done at movie theaters to appeal to the masses and offer them a "product" that will draw them in and keep them coming back.....
Now lets look at your typical Protestant /evangelical religious system and see how it compares. As you enter it you will find:
A stage ( Here the pulpit sits)
Seating rows for a paying crowd ( lines of pews with people who pay for the show)
Paid actors/directors ( modern pastors, worship team leaders, music directors etc )
Trained performers / singers (solo singers or music teams )
Music/tv screens/ lights and props ( religious musical offerings )
A planned show run by a clock ( most are timed out to end right on time each week to not bore folks )
Often multiple show times are offered ( 8:30 am and 10am services)
Food is often offered (food is a huge part of many religious bodies)
It is open to the world ( protestant/evangelic offerings are open to the world )
They run special shows during the year to draw more new comers (this would be the pagan practices of Easter and Christ-mas that are huge for drawing crowds looking for more entertainment.)
As you can see the ENTIRE system to entertain is in place right within your religious system if you are into man made Sunday religion.
Did you know the Sunday church system is designed to look like a theater on purpose and it is designed to run like a business. Yes it's true. Some famous modern pastors and men who have helped form your religious systems today about 30 years ago wrote books (seeker sensistive ways) and they stated this:
'the people in the pews are your customers... give them what they want!'
You're being very deceived if you think this all pleases God as it does NOT!

Theaters to entertain man have been around since the 4th century BC. Sometime later man made religion adapted those ways and incorporated it all into what you know today as Sunday church. In truth you are following a system made of man.... NOT God.
What is most important for this article is this fact:
God NEVER ordained any of this for His true people. It is all an invention of man to draw and entertain people each week and get them coming back for more.
If you study the first century New Testament body that Christ ordained, you will NOT find any of this fleshly foolishness going on to entertain people. What you will find is a totally different model where true saints gathered to proclaim the Word of God in a spirit led gathering.

What is the purpose of the NT body gathering.... it was not to entertain people.
Ephesians 4:12-13 says:
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
The Apostle Paul told us to keep the traditions he handed down in 2 Thessalonians 2:15 (not follow mans ways)
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
In Romans 12:1-2 Paul also says do not conform to the world which is what evangelical/protestant ways do:
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Jesus Christ said this in John 4:23-24:
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
So ask yourself, how are you worshiping God in truth if you're following a faulty man made system of religion?
Lastly it is easy to see how this system of entertainment is flesh based. They cater to your flesh, to please you so you will return and pay more.
Lastly.... God's Word says this in Romans 8:8:
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
The very idea of one man (a modern pastor) running the show is NOT God's design at all

Hopefully you can see the issue here.
People tell us often they are there to worship God/Jesus but why are they in rebellion to how God asked to be worshiped and how His people are to gather we ask?
Ask yourself; if you're striving to entertain yourself then just stay in man made religion and they will indeed entertain you right into hell.
But if you're desiring to know and serve God in truth you need need to repent and follow His ways, NOT mans false ways lest you will be judged in eternity.
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2 Thessalonians 1:8
That weekly entertainment you're getting will cost you a lot more then what you drop in the offering plate folks.
In the end it will cost you your soul lest you are made new in Christ via faith and repentance and as fruit you OBEY Him and His ways for worship and gathering not man's entertaining ways.
