I wanted to encourage you street preachers, how to handle them.
If you get someone who comes up in a way you can tell by words or body language is not serious about bible truth (by them yelling, seeming aggressive or making comments that show they are an enemy) here is how you handle them:
*do not engage them or even acknowledge them
*move away from them if possible and turn your back
*keep preaching on as they try to heckle
*basically ignore them to the point they give up and leave.
(it is a battle of wills really so be strong)
In my experience about 99% of the time; they walk just away.
*If they persist and follow you, get in your face or are threatening in anyway; remind them they are on video and you do NOT want to talk to them.
*In rare cases; it would help you can give them your email to contact you about any topic as you are here to preach not argue.
* I have in extreme cases turned it all on them as they tried to stop my preaching and I said well go ahead, what do you have to say to us all?
They usually make themselves look really dumb and walk away. Here is a video example of just that from preaching in Cody Wyoming:
*In the worse case; if they are very aggressive; remind them you don't want to talk to them and that they are now following / harassing you.
*If they get really out of control remind them the police may show up soon as strangers will usually call them.
Remember we are to be the ones in control and it is always best to leave a place vs get in any altercations. Strive on and go to preach another day with a blameless testimony I say.
