Feminism
Definition: movement for women's rights: the movement committed to
securing and defending rights and opportunities for women that are equal to
those of men
Feminism has been around
for many years in various forms throughout history but it has gained fast momentum
since the suffrage movement in the 1800’s and is rooted in the socialism movement.
Since that time it has taken root in society and has blossomed into
gender ‘equality’ in more than just voting, but to all aspects from jobs (work)
to bodily rights (lesbianism and abortion).
Satan has done a wonderful job of convincing women that God’s perfect
design for the distinct roles for men and women is not to be desired but
abhorred.
God’s Word teaches that women were created for man.
And
the Lord God said, It is not good that the man
should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Genesis 2:18)
(Help meet means a helpful counterpart or mate.)
We also see where God’s Word shows us that women will
(unbiblically) want to be the ruling authority.
Unto the woman he said, I
will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring
forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over
thee.
(Genesis 3:16)
God’s Word teaches women are to submit to their husbands.
Submit means in Greek:
hupotassō
hoop-ot-as'-so
From G5259 and G5021; to subordinate; reflexively to obey: - be under obedience (obedient), put under, subdue unto, (be, make) subject (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, under), submit self unto

Likewise,
ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the
word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives (1
Peter 3:1)
For
after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God,
adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands (1 Peter 3:5)
Wives,
submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. (Colossians
3:18)
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own
husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife,
even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the
body. Therefore as the
church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in
every thing. (Ephesians 5:22-24)
For after this manner in the old time the
holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection
unto their own husbands (1 Peter 3:5)
But I would have you know, that the head of
every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of
Christ is God. (1 Corinthians 11:3)
God’s Word also tells women of their job responsibilities.
The aged women likewise, that they be in
behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine,
teachers of good things; That
they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love
their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good,
obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus
2:3-5)
And Proverbs
31:10-31 outlines a detailed list of the responsibilities of the woman keeping and
managing her home. See HERE for more
details on the Proverbs 31 woman.

What we see is a
beautiful picture of a woman being a helper in submission to her husband,
raising their children and managing their home, all in the ways of the
Lord. A man is therefore able to focus
on his role of husband and provider, leader and protector of those that the
Lord has entrusted to him.
Godly wives are to make sure they are not inadvertently leading their homes especially if they have a husband that is not fulfilling his leadership role. It is not of the wife to step in place for the husband but instead do what she can to encourage him to do so and that does not necessarily mean by using words. A submissive godly woman will walk in a meek and quiet spirit as opposed to a loud and pushy one. She will follow the scriptures in her daily life and the living witness she becomes could help move her husband to the place he should be.
As Eve was deceived in the garden (Genesis 3) so can women be deceived today. (See 1 Timothy 3 about weak willed women.)
Also see the various verses in scripture that remind us of this deception and the headship order: 1 Corinthians 11, 1 Timothy 2, 2 Corinthians 11). This is a very serious warning to women to beware and to make sure they are in line with biblical submission and not being led astray.
This does not mean a godly woman is to blindly follow her husband if he leads her to sin. If he does, then she is to disobey him and instead, follow the commands of God. Women have a way of trying to manipulate situations and people to get them to move in the direction they want and godly women are not to do so. She should plainly and biblically speak her thoughts and then allow the husband to make the choice and she then, is to continue to be her husbands helper regardless of his decision (as long as it's not unbiblical/sinful.)
The unity of man and wife in the headship order is a wonderful thing and a perfect way to kill our flesh and make us more Christlike every day because there is a lot of sacrifice of selfishness and me-ism to be done on a daily basis.
Quite often the issues that cause disruption in the home between godly men and women are of a selfish and fleshly nature that could be done away with if the woman would take time to think things over before speaking her mind. This does not imply that it is always her fault BUT many times the outcome does not really matter and it becomes a fight over opinion...which in reality is irrelevant to a biblical obedient life in Christ.
Romans 12:18 commands us to be at peace with all men if possible. Ladies most certainly have been given a softer and compassionate spirit and therefore should exercise it to be the peacemaker (in situations that do not involve sin.)

What we see in
contrast to this is modern day feminism of women seeking to come out from under
the authority of their husbands, passing off the rearing of children to day
care centers or other family members while seeking a career, and neglecting the
management of their home by shoving off ’half’ (if not more) on their
husbands.
It doesn’t just
stop there... feminists have pushed to establish female authority in many
influential areas such as the judicial system, protection agencies (military, law
enforcement) and government as well as labor jobs such as construction, heavy
equipment operation and trucking. Feminists
have also established their own human authority over the ungodly use of their
bodies (homosexuality and abortion) citing freedom of choice. Choice to commit sexual sin and murder?
This is not the
beautiful plan of God, it is the destruction of satan.
We encourage godly ladies to study the scriptures to see the perfect plan that God has set up in His order of creation. To see the blessings of being set free from the deception of the world and it’s trappings for women. To enjoy the freedom to serve Him in His ways... there is nothing in comparison.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:16)
