Just as Jesus Christ and His disciples had many enemies of the truth; we at dontperish.com also have enemies that lie and slander at will. (these are the kind of sad men who lie/slander as they hide in the dark because they are not man enough or biblical enough to go to God's Word then come in person and reason. The Word of God speaks of many warnings to be very mindful of and its condemnation of liars is found in many places.
A lying tongue is one of the issues that God has said He "hates" and Proverbs 6:16-19 says it well.
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Sadly it is so very common in the culture today that lacks real truth. Worst yet; we have run across many people who claim Jesus Christ but still speak with a lying tongue as they hope to get their own way or sway people to their cause; when truth is NOT on their side.
Lets see what the Holy Word has to say to them about their lies:
Exodus 20 (one of the 10 commandments)
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Proverbs 19:9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.
Romans 3:13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Proverbs 30:5-6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Romans 1:29-32Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Proverbs 17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
1 Timothy 1:8-11 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

God's Word has a stark warning for those who leave the truth and lie, lest they perish.
