We have been so blessed early on this mission trip.
We were to be in Wyoming already but we got the chance for more carving business in Nebraska so we stayed in North Platte 2 extra days. (We carved in Hersey, Ne and camped out by a beautiful lake full of fish and it was such a blessing.)
I needed some materials for a carve and we went to Menards.
As we left a young man there got a gospel card and we had a great 20 minute talk. I informed him how unbiblical man made religion is and that he is being deceived if he puts his faith in that flavor of man made system. I proved how worldly they are and they have a false gospel message. He asked me a question and it reminded me of the book of Acts.
The young man seemed convicted and he said he likes professional sports and asked me.... what should I do?
Remember Peter preaching to the people in Acts the day the NT body was founded?
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:37-38
Now.... I am no Peter but my witnessing session with the
young man made me think of Acts.
I told him to do the same thing. To repent and follow after
Christ in spirit and truth NOT man made religion.
We are here to help him if that is his sole desire.
