As we witness the gospel all over America, many religious people claim the name of Jesus Christ and they will say .... they love God and that are indeed headed to heaven.
The reasons they believe they are of God are many including these as the most common ones:
*They are faithful to some denominational brand and they go to church on Sunday
*They believe in Jesus as Savior
*They are a good person and try to help others
*Some will say they are born again but it is via a false gospel
But as biblical Berean's Acts 17... we will ask this:
What is the biblical proof you are in Christ ( heaven bound) per God's Eternal Word?
Jesus Himself and the disciples told us what is the PROOF you are His or not.
In John 14:15 He said if you love me keep my commands
So if you love God/Christ and are born of Him the truth is you will keep His ways, NOT man made religion, as proof your His.
Jesus also said this in John 13:35
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
He said you will LOVE the brothers/sisters. That would be in context NOT love those caught up in man made religion but love the true born again saints of God. There is a difference indeed!
1 John 1:6 tells us this about the true redeemed one in Christ:
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
Church going, just believing in Jesus, saying your born again, doing good or being a life long Baptist or Luther or what ever flavor of man made faith is NOT proof you're of God. It is only proof you're of man made religion and that won't save you in the end.
James 2:19 says
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
But they wont be in heaven will they?
Jesus warned us that MANY will perish as religious people as He totally rejects them because they did not live obedient to His Word/ways. Man made religion is good at creating such a false believer. See Matt chapter 7.
Please...we do not want you to be one of them!

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Peter tells us to be holy on all our ways in 1 Peter 1:15

There are many more verses we could use but if we just look at these important scriptures, we can test to see who is really in Christ and heaven bound and who is clearly NOT.
*If you are keeping/obeying man made denominational religion (it is full of pagan ways and sin) and not keeping God's New Testament traditions/commands.... you are not showing the fruit of being His redeemed disciple.
*If you show love for your denominational Sunday church goer friends but NOT the true obedient holy people of God who have come out of those false man made systems..... you are not showing the fruit of being His redeemed disciple
*If you like and walk in the darkness of the world's beloved ways (entertainment, media, sports, music, false religion/philosophies etc ) you are ....not showing the fruit of being His redeemed disciple
*If you live like the carnal world and are not striving to be pure/holy ( separated out for God ) you are NOT showing the fruit of being His redeemed disciple
*If you have an easy believe, raise your hand, come up front or just believe man made gospel.... you are NOT showing the fruit you are His redeemed disciple

Yes people do fall and sin.
We too have sinful flesh and we fail God at times also. But we repent, turn to Him, deny ourselves and keep striving deep in His truth/ways as we work to KILL our flesh for His glory and purpose. That is just another fruit you're born of Him.
Ask yourself this:
Who did Christ really make the way of eternal life for??????
Read Hebrews 5:9, it is for those who OBEY Him.
