God's Crucible by Mark Bullen Living Faith Christian Fellowship, Brookfield MO - Book Review

Disclaimer:
We at dontperish.com are biblical New Testament followers of Christ who have left the denominational man made religious world, we reject the ways of the culture like TV, sports, entertainment, our ladies head cover / dress (in loose, plain dresses) according to the Word of God, we reject all pagan ways like Christmas and Easter and we cling to ONLY the biblical church ways that Jesus ordained through Paul and the other apostles. We believe and will practice only holy, orderly controlled OPEN gatherings (mostly in homes or out doors) where all born again obedient men can bring what God gives them to share. No ONE man is in control but multiple men shall over see (elders) not lord over others. My wife and I mostly travel to preach the Word and we reside both in central Wisconsin and central Missouri, spreading the Lord's truth.

We have a small business to support ourselves and ministry and we will NOT sell any of God's truth!

******************************************************************************************************************

There is much deception going on these days (as stated in Matthew 24 by our Lord and Savior) and because we love our neighbor, we speak out in truth.  We are very, very familiar with Living Faith Christian Fellowship in Brookfield Missouri, with 'bishop' Mark Bullen.  Mark has written a few books and although they have some truth, they contain much deception as well and we are here to warn the sheep that might wander into his group.

This article is to review the book 'God's Crucible' written by Mark Q. Bullen and we want to show you the heretical lies that are written and sadly influencing people.  Yes we have reached out to Mark MANY times over the past MANY years and he was not very nice in response.
See the testing here with over 20 some unbiblical issues about his ministry:
Although it is biblical to be part of Christ's body on earth, gathering with one another, Mark makes it out to be THE way to heaven, through a 'program' and that is a lie!!!

Note: He is teaching a false gospel in this book! ( you must be in a local church for salvation....  )

Mark does teach much truth both in his book as well as across his website but he also teaches much heresy and in love, because we care about our neighbor, we have called him to repentance and also write this to warn others so they don't fall prey to the errors.

On page 6 of his book 'God's Crucible' he claims that the New Testament is Christ's program for our transformation

And also on page 7

But God's WORD and the Holy Spirit conform us to the image of Christ.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Page 12 he says this:

That is not true, the stars are NOT 'lone ruling bishops' as that was NOT the model for the NT bodies at that time.
( see our testing link of Mark where we address the lone ruling bishop )

Page 15:

So Mark erroneously teaches that those who are not in a local body of believers does not qualify as being part of the bride.  So those in jail, those on their own cut off from other TRUE believers are not part of the bride, according to Mark? This is foolishness!!!

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12

Mark is a hypocrite as he once left his church due to sin and he wandered and roamed without a body for years still serving God; yet he condemns those who do that today!

(see our testing link on Mark where we expose this hypocrisy via his own testimony sermon)

Page 16:

Here Mark scares people into believing that you MUST be a part of a local church 'PROGRAM" and that you MUST seek to advance one and if you are not then you are not hungering after righteousness.  Who's righteousness is he referring to there? (He also claims there is sin in not assembling together he is referring to Hebrews 10:25 which he has used elswhere on his website to guilt people to 'going to church on Sunday'.  We have articles on that as well.
http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/search/label/Not%20Forsake%20The%20Gathering%20Hebrews%2010%3A25

Page 19:

The local body of believers is a part of a Christians life (if the Lord has blessed someone with them) but not being a part of one does not disqualify one from following Christ Jesus if there are none around.

Page 22:

The Lord's day (Sunday) is a lie and Mark is in great error here.

Page 23:

He says that one of the purposes of gathering is to collect the tithe.  This is a lie.  See our article on that here: http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/2014/02/tithing-is-it-for-today.html

Page 31:

Mark claims that baptism is your entrance into the body of Christ.  So if a person repents, is born again and the Holy Spirit is indwelling them, they will still die and go to hell until they are baptized 'into' a local body? And if excommunicated they lost their hope of salvation?  What happened to repentance? This is heresy!

( see our link where I expose this false teaching about Mark Bullen and excommunication )

Page 41:

Again Mark says excommunication means you lose your soul but he does not give scriptural reference to back it up.

So if the 'assembly' and / or it's leaders are in unrepentant sin then the one fighting for truth is in fear of their salvation because the majority rule wins???

Page 45:

Mark shows that the Word of God and the Holy Spirit is not enough to guide one into holiness and obedience.  This is contrary to 1 John 2:27.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Page 47:
He quotes Adam Clarke who is an 'open theist' which Mark leans toward as well.  This is an unbiblical view.

Then on page 92:

So Mark goes on to explain how people complain that when they come to them (Living Faith Christian Fellowship body) that everyone is nice and warm and loving but after a short time they move on from them to look for others to bring into the body.  So is that love shortlived?  Doesn't scripture tell us to love one another fervently? 1 Peter 4:8 or is that love only reserved for those they are trying to get into their body and then it is removed and placed on the next newcomer.  What about Acts 2 where they met DAILY?  Mark says they meet 2 times a week and the rest of the week you are on your own. What if some want to gather and go over scriptures, come together and one another each other in the Word, a brother has something he wants to bring to the body that he feels is urgently needed?  We have been told by Mark that is not acceptable, the 'bishop' must be ruling over all that. More lies!!!

Throughout the rest of his book he makes many valid points about holiness, obedience to the scriptures, separation from the world which are all great points but then this entire book is about salvation through the 'program' that gets you to heaven.

( see our testing link where Mark used the word PROGRAM over 50 times in a 1 hour sermon to program his pew sitters I guess?? )

So according to his book, a person cannot learn the scriptures and become an obedient follower of Christ and have the hope of eternal life unless they belong to a 'program' under a ruling bishop. And if a person doesn't have a biblical body by them, they must seek to find one and move there so they can be in the program. So according to Mark, believers should all flock together otherwise they are in sin and have no hope of salvation.  We see nothing wrong with either scenario, believers moving together if they feel called to or staying where they are so as to proclaim the gospel all over the world.

Question: why didn't Mark just move to a existing church vs STARTING HIS OWN IN HIS HOUSE In MISSOURI????
More hypocrisy in him....

The transforming power of the gospel via Christ (https://www.dontperish.com/the-gospel.html)  is our hope of eternal life, not being in a 'program' as Mark says.

Beware folks, a false teacher knows how to preach much of the truth in order to hide the lies, gain control and damn souls with fair speech.

If tyou read the large biblical testing we did of Mark you will see he believes HE built his church vs Christ and this is heretical, prideful and VERY dangerous!!!

We have reached out to the Bullen group many times, have tried to get a correction to our biblical testing of him and have been rejected/ignored by Mark. Is that a Titus 1 elder at work?

We pray they repent and if so we are right there to help them.

God be praised!
