Mankind has the habit of heaping his man made ways upon itself while AVOIDING the ways of Almighty God! Fathers day is another such way. If you examine the holiday called "Fathers Day" it has nothing to do with giving glory to God but it only serves man and further distracts from God's truth.
Jesus said this about man made ways:
For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men
Mark 7:9
Paul warned about being swept up n man made ways in Col 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
I am not saying honoring a earthly dad is ever bad but examine your life which the bible commands we do. ( 2 Cor 13;5 )
Are you born of the Father above and living daily to proclaim Him/Christ or are you caught up in another worldly man made false way like Fathers Day celebrations?
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2;15
