The American culture and the world LOVES to dabble with evil and they pay big prices to view, be entertained, scared and experience it in movies, video games and even live events. That is to be expected as the lost world without Christ's truth is headed for a collision course with God's wrath.
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2 Thess 1:7-9I want to talk here to the claimed believers about..... evil.
Most bible believing so called Christians in America would agree that satanic, violent evil movies or videos games, sorcery and such are NOT right or pure, before a holy God.
But are they (or you) aware of just what evil really is to God?
1 Thess 5:22 says
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
It is true that "most" Sunday church goers are going to say yes satan worship, the occult, witches, horoscopes, nasty horror movies, that is indeed evil. Then they go off and live their lives "doing as they please" in their daily traditions usually outside of God's ways as long as they avoid those REALLY big evil things.
In doing so, they are still in great evil & sin! Let me explain.
Witchcraft is one of the evils MOST believers would know to avoid but do they understand that witchcraft to God....goes beyond just brooms, cauldrons, spells and black cats?
Are you aware that if you rebel against God's Word in any way, you are a partaker of ways like witchcraft? And if you are stubborn to hold to your ways vs obeying all of God's commands, you are into ways like idolatry?
Consider this verse:
1 Sam 15:23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord
Look at the lost culture and how it feeds its flesh, lives for itself and entertains on vile ungodly things daily. It is in regular idolatry and witchcraft like ways against a Holy God!
Then consider people of faith in their man made Sunday religion and its various false ways like Christ-mass, pagan trees, ritual gatherings, unbiblical dress, uncovered ladies heads, carnal men, false gospels and its linking to the fallen world for daily entertainment. All of this is liken to both witchcraft and idolatry before a Holy God because they are in sin, NOT obeying the Lord's Word and ways first and foremost.
Ponder this will you?
In truth, you don't have to be bowing to a golden calf, watching the occult or even casting spells to be judged by God for ways liken to the sin of witchcraft or idolatry. Chances are, you are already guilty of it today American Christian, and you must repent. Then test yourself to see if you are born of God at all. ( see the gospel below in our resources )
Please know that just as partaking in one voodoo session is evil, it is also like that evil/witchcraft/idolatry of you to NOT obey all of God's Word today from the smallest to the biggest sin/command.
Ponder that wont you?
Repent today and OBEY the gospel to eternal life to come!
