God Himself placed Adam and Eve in a tunic / robe like garment. It is coverage past the privates, to the knees or there about and today with baggy pants underneath (God later gave men breeches as a under garment)

Note: we do not wear biblical clothes to be closer to God or look religious. No, we wear biblical dress to obey Him because we are born of His Spirit!

This is a serious thing as our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit if you are born of God. 1 Cor 3
How should we cover it then? Remember clothing is a sin covering not a fashion statement.
I have various biblical articles to show men/women why (per scripture) is it obedient to wear such a garment vs today's unbiblical carnal cultural dress. You can see those articles at the end of this post.

For this article, I want to focus on and show men how to make a simple low cost tunic like garment vs the ones I have seen online that are pricey and often have tapered fit or made of suspect materials that cling or are adorned. I made this one for $22 new or you can hunt at thrift stores ( I do that too ) and have done it for under $6 total.
Here is how I have found a simple & cheap way to make a tunic/robe garment for daily wear of a godly man.
I call it the Tunic Tube
1) Find a extra big, long, button up shirt that is plain and appropriate for the weather by you. ( short sleeves to the elbow is fine in a hot climate ) Something like this:
2) Buy a extra big men's t-shirt of the material you think will fit in your climate. I am in a warn climate now so I used a light weight breathing material. In a cold climate a thicker cotton t-shirt will do. I also like to cut the collar off,cut the sleeves short, I remove all the buttons but the top two and sew it closed. A post on that to come soon in the dress for men area.
3) cut the t-shirt under the arm pit area straight across
4) You will end up with a tube like material section like this
5) put your big button up shirt on and pull this section of material up past your feet up to your belt line. Use pins to fasten it at the front, sides and back belt loops. ( if you want to you can have the two pieces sewn together but I prefer this as I can easily remove it or adjust anytime.
6) Allow your button up shirt to hang over it and the material covers down to or past your knees making......

I find this works well as the goal from the garden of Eden to today is to cover our forms as a "sin covering". When I am out street preaching, wind and such can cause a long loose shirt to come up. I like it to go about to the knees for when you sit down and such. Also make sure your pant legs are big and loose and not tight legged from the knee down.
Here is a tunic shirt with extra fabric sewn on the bottom and it is the best option for some... IF... you can or have someone to sew for you. I use the tunic tube mostly these days.

With either tunic/robe like garment, I remain fully covered at all times. It also gives me maximum movement which I like as well.
I hope this simple tunic fix is a blessing to you men who desire to OBEY God. Yes you will be mocked and persecuted as we are told we will be if we live godly. ( 2 Tim 3;12 ) Also, we will not fit into the fashionable culture but that is exactly what God wants as a peculiar people. ( 1 Peter 2:9 )

I had a young brother of mine moving to cover in a tunic garment say it could be a great door opener as people will say why do you dress like that and then; we can preach the gospel to them!
