Suicide is Self Murder






This sad topic comes up from time to time and we needed to have an article to address it. 

 The topic is suicide:

 We recently heard a 'modern false pastor' of a worldly denominational organization ( JC Groves Rock Bridge Community Church, Georgia) say that you can kill yourself and go to Jesus and that it's not an unpardonable sin.  This is a dangerous lie because murder is a "willful sin" that cannot be repented of after it's been done. Therefore the person who murders themselves is now a murderer and we know murderers will not be in heaven. 

 Gal 5:21
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

 Note:
This is a VERY dangerous thing for any person or pastor to teach as many people (especially youth) are hurting emotionally and will go ahead and murder themselves. They will do it to get out of pain, all the while thinking they are going to be with Jesus. Sadly, judgement will await them and it is easy to see that is a doctrine of satan, NOT a Holy God. 

 * I do need to add that IF a person is totally "out of their right mind" (substance abuse or mental illness) I know God "may" have grace for a suicide as He is merciful! But what we usually see is how people who commit suicide think about it, plan it and often do premeditate it and they will be held accountable. 

 What does the Holy Word say about murder?

  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:8

 The commands from the old testament that say: Thou shall not kill (Exodus 20:13, Deuteronomy 5:17) both still stand for today as they are echoed in the NT word.

 *** It should be noted the Hebrew word KILL in Exodus 20 / Deut 5;17 is "ratsach". It leans more towards to not murder vs kill! ( there is a difference and suicide is indeed self-murder! ) 

 When we read Matthew 5 we see that murder is taken to the next level of the heart:
Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Vs 21-22 

 Just being angry with a brother without cause for fear of hell, how much more would suicide, the actual act, be? 

 This verse below shows willful sin ( murder/suicide ) will not be covered by Christ:
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:26:27

The facts are very clear:
Suicide ( in most all cases ) is self MURDER, plain and simple. We know that no murderers will inherit the kingdom of heaven per God's Word so it is unbiblical and dangerous to ever promise those who murder themselves, they have the hope of heaven to come.

 Last note;
Jesus is the Captain, Author and Finisher of our faith. He promised we can rejoice as He over come the world. He has has over come "all" for us. (John 16:33) If a person is really born of Christ, is in Him, focused on Him and led by the Spirit, they will NOT give in to a sinful selfish act of murder suicide. 

 Good news!
The best defense against the enemies lies to give up and murder yourself is to be born of God ( see the gospel below )  resist the devil ( see James 4:7 ) and rest in Christ ( Hebrews 4 ) for all your strength. If you are considering self murder, you are just going to fall victim of the roaring lion seeking who he can devour. 1 Peter 5:8 

 Do not be deceived. Suicide is self Murder and it will be judged by God!
