Fire will Test
I street preached at a heretical NAR unbiblical Christian music event in Montana. I was there preaching truth and also calling out the false teacher who led it. I got a FB message and the writer was upset I called him out. The person asked me how I would answer these verses 1 Cor 3:12-15?

1 Cor 3:10
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
***** Paul is warning men "to be careful" how they teach upon this foundation in Christ and today most so called bible teachers are trampling that foundation all over the internet and in pews. They are NOT in the categorie Paul laid out, building on the real biblical Jesus Christ. How do we know this? We test their doctrine and it is FAR from the Apostles ways.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
****** The context of this section of scripture is Jesus Christ as the foundation that Paul laid. We cant rebuild a new or different one as this was the Only TRUE foundation. In Eph 2:20 it says it is of the Prophets, Apostles and Christ.... the cornerstone. It is built on truth and biblical doctrine and if you leave that you have NOT the foundation that saves. The NAR false teacher I was calling out clearly has another jesus and he is NOT my brother in that.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
***** Again the context here matters. Paul says who ever builds on "this" foundation (that is biblical doctrinal true Jesus Christ) He is referring to the One True Savior NOT the false jesus that most pastors/ groups teach today. Remember; Paul tells us in Gal 1 that a false gospel makes you accursed and in 2 Cor 11:4 he warns of false jesus, false spirit and false gospels. That is clearly what most false biblical teachers like the NAR are teaching today. A FALSE jesus not the true One in the foundation that Paul spoke of.
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
***** Paul finishes by saying that what we have done (UPON that true foundation is the context) it will be judged and burnt off by fire but; the person may be saved still. This does NOT mean that false teachers with false gospels and false jesus will make it to heaven. Not at all. They have NOT the foundation of the true Christ and are not born of God. It simply means if we (true saints) preach the biblical Jesus but; we did it for say wrong motives, it is sinful/wrong how we did it. It does not warrant a reward but that man may still be saved Paul says. (See Phil 1;15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill) This area of scripture has NOTHING to do with false jesus and false brothers who preach heresy as they are lost and ripe for judgement to come lest they repent.

To be clear , when we are judging for truth and testing doctrine; (as we are told to do / 1 Thess 5) a false teacher like the NAR with a different jesus and a false gospel is NOT who Paul was speaking of in this area of scripture. Always study in context and go deep for the true exegesis meaning (exiting the truth) vs looking for the Eiesgesis way (I make it say what I want it to say) and you will go far in the Lord's truth.
