Noah the Movie Review And Warning!

Disclaimer:
The following is a review/warning of the newest so called Christian Hollywood movie called ...Noah.
We are in no way supporting Christians going to partake in movies at all. We are only writing this because so many are being influenced and going to see this movie and so it must be discerned correctly using God's Word to warn others. We did not see the film but just a copy of its script/other reviews show us its many unbiblical aspects.

Noah the movie....

It is a fact that the fallen world of mankind will try to use anything they can to make money including making parts of God's Holy Word in to movies to extract your money from you. Recently we have seen a release of various movies that "claim" to tell of events or truth from the bible but please know; they cannot be trusted at all. We cannot expect those who are of this world to be able to correctly tell the truth about the bible as they are very non discerning and have not the truth in them.

The Apostle Paul tells us that satan is the god of this world and so those in Hollywood are serving Him, not the heavenly Father through obedience to Christ.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:4

This review will be brief as only several points about this film make it a totally inaccurate record of the life of Noah and the great flood he survived. We will list 3 main points below that disqualify it as a truthful account and one that must be totally rejected for God's glory:

1) A major issue with the film is the director who is an atheist. He has stated he believes Noah was "just a fable" that never took place. It is obvious then to realize he would take total liberty with the film and distorted the biblical truth on many levels. Please keep in mind by saying Noah was not a real man who lived and made a ark; this director is calling Jesus Christ a liar as He spoke about Noah Himself.  See our post here on that:

2) A main error of the movie makes Noah out to be a "radical environmentalist" who in the end is guilty that he survived the flood as he views man is the cancer of the earth in his eyes. Here is a quote from the movies director:
“It’s about environmental apocalypse which is the biggest theme, for me, right now for what’s going on on this planet. So I think it’s got these big, big themes that connect with us. Noah was the first environmentalist.” – Darren Aronofsky

It is obvious this movie has a political bent to push the false radical green movement ever further into the culture.

Amazingly there is even a part of the film where Noah decides to "kill all female members" of his surviving family so humans cannot re-populate the earth but; he cant bring himself to do it. That is found no where int the bible at all. We can see from scripture that clearly is it was not man's environmental issues that grieved the Lord but it was mans sinfulness and disobedience against His Holy ways! This is no small matter as sin must be shown as man's issue or Christ on the cross as a perfect sacrifice is meaningless indeed. The devil lives to discredit the cross of Christ so don't be fooled.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. – Genesis 6:1-6

3) It has many more distorted facts and here are a few:

Noah is likened to running an animal hospital and he believes that mankind is killing all that God created. He says quote:
At our hand, all he created is dying.” The trees, the animals, and the environment. “If we change, if we work to save it, perhaps he will too".

The Nephilim are said in the bible to be giant beings that in part with mans sinfulness; made God want to destroy the earth. In this movie they actually end up helping Noah to build the ark. This movie has various issues knowing truth from error and good from evil.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”  Isa 5:20

The film sadly makes the story into one where Noah has interaction with Hollywood like 6 armed creatures that never took place in the bible. They even paint Noah as a potential madman while in truth Noah was a righteous man who had faith in God and followed the Lord's Word.

Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he. – Genesis 6:22

From these brief points we can see that this movie has not the truth of the Lord's Word and thus is a distortion both adding and taking away from the bible which is warned about in

Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

We would then lovingly advise and recommend that a true born again follower of Jesus Christ not only reject this film and avoid it, but also avoid all that Hollywood offers this culture. Why?

Paul instructs us to "take every thought captive for the Lord" ( 2 Corinthians 10:5 ) and that is impossible if we are seeking to be entertained through our carnal senses and man's fallen creations. We are also to redeem the time ( Ephesians 5:16 ) and that can't be done when we are striving to fill our free time with things that feed our flesh with lies like these movies. Can you find anywhere in the bible where it tells us to feed our flesh or to entertain ourselves with mans untrue offerings? It is not there but the call to holiness (to be set apart for God) is found in many places indeed. ( 1 Peter 1:15 / Romans 12:1, Hebrews 14:12 )

If you are interested in the story of Noah; please go read your bible for truth and pray to God for understanding and wisdom to then apply it to your life. The story of Noah has a wonderful message for us all if we will embrace it in it's full truth. He was a righteous man in a very sinful world and he pleased God through his faith. That faith was a "active one" and he had to "act on that faith" and build a ark to be saved from God's wrath to come. If you claim a faith in Christ, you must be obedient to Him to receive that salvation He has secured.

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.
Hebrews 5:9

Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 that the last days of mankind before His return will be like the days of Noah. They lived on the edge of total destruction, they mocked God / His wrath to come and they were living in massive sin. Does that sound a lot like today to you? Let us be warned and seek Him in faith through his Word.

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. — Hebrews 11:6-7

Let that be a lesson to us who claim Christ. Let us all walk in faith and also "act" on that faith by living in holiness and obedience to His Word in all our ways, for His glory!
