(the following is a example of how you can test and discern the worldview and truth of a man based on his religious biblical views)
Today you see many people rise up in this culture that often gain a following and are made perhaps the next great hope. Let us keep in mind the Jesus Christ is the ONLY true hope for man.
Many today are following a man named Dr. Ben Carson who may be rising up in the ranks of the political conservative circles to run for president. Now we don't vote or follow politics too closely but I have been asked about him so I thought since true believers are to test all things ( 1 Thess 5:21 ) it would be wise to look at his spiritual beliefs. Nothing could be more important than that, to make a man who he really is..... amen?
After some research we learned he is a Seventh Day Adventist.

If you click on the prophecy tab you can see they believe in and follow the teachings of Prophetess Ellen White who was a leader in their modern denomination in the 1800's.
You can read about her on the internet and the fact is most claim her to be a false deceptive teacher.
It is easy to verify this by going to God's Holy Word....
One example of this is she once said the Saturday Sabbath was the greatest commandment in one of her many " so called " visions.
Jesus said loving God was the greatest command
Matt 22:37-38
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.
So she lied, is false and cannot be a prophet of God at all.
( Note: Don't forget the fact that scripture is closed today and we need no more prophets like Ellen. )
Another issue is that she teaches there is no eternal hell as she believed fire will consume/burn up God's enemies and this goes against what the Word teaches.
See Matthew 25:46
Jesus said “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Their Seventh Day denomination is also very troublesome with many of the usual unbiblical issues you see in denominational America today in play.

Lastly... I heard Ben Carson on a radio show recently and he was promoting a man who started the US Dream Academy. This man (Whintley Phipps) claimed to be a biblical Christian/modern pastor yet his ministry is closely linked with Oprah who is a VERY dangerous anti christ, occult new ager. We would ask how can any man who claims to have the light of the world in him ( Jesus Christ ) unite with a antichrist pagan / new age person like Oprah? And in turn how could Mr Carson promote to millions of radio listeners such a man if he has biblical truth and godly discernment as his guide?
Mr. Carson is no doubt a world class brain surgeon and if politics is what drives you; he may make a political leader one day. But based on God's Word his biblical discernment for eternal truth is quite lacking in many areas and this is a real concern for a true Christian. We will reach out to him in love to raise these issues that perhaps he is unaware of? Let's see if he comments back and has a desire or interest in ALL truth from God's Holy Word?
Remember as you test what you believe to set your mind on things above / Colossians 3:2 and to cling to every Word out of the mouth of God / Matthew 4:4.
