Mennonites claim to follow the scriptures in their dress but they are following man made traditions, not truth. (See Mark 7:6-9 and what Jesus says about that.)

Their dresses are usually adorned (this is sinful), they sew their dresses to be very form fitting (sinful) and made with thin clinging fabrics (sinful). What we see is that the little girls wear nice loose fit dresses (this is biblical) but as soon as they look about the age to begin sewing their own dresses, they sew them as snug as they can get away with. This is shameful!

Man made tradition tells them they must wear a cape dress so they follow the letter of their tradition but ignore the meaning of scripture.
The men as well are not biblically dressed and show off their forms by wearing their shirts tucked into their pants and neither shirts nor pants are loose thereby matching the immodesty of their women. This is shameful!
God's Word tells women to veil their heads but the Mennonites have made their own tradition of a cap, or a bun cover; meaning they have a little tiny white thing they put on the back of their head to cover only the bun of hair that they have put up. Some Mennonites have a bigger cap and requirements to have certain amount of pleats, some have strings etc. God's Word is simple, women are to veil their heads with something hanging down and covering most of their hair. Mennonites do not do this.
