Hutterites Tested to God's Word

While we were in Montana on our mission/carving trip we kept running into Hutterites (there are colonies there as well as other states) and could recognize them easily because the ladies wear black and white polka dot headcoverings.  We have witnessed to those we have come in contact with, given them a gospel tract, and asked them to contact us if we could ever help them.  We decided to do a biblical testing on them. Going directly to their souce of information we went to the Hutterite website that explains everything about them.

 They stem from the same anabaptist roots as the Amish and Mennonite and share the same core of beliefs including:

 * Separation from the world (some use limited technology).
* Adult baptism
* Being pacifists
* No oaths to be taken by Christians
* The unbiblical view that God cannot forgive divorce prior to becoming a new creation

 Some of them do claim a biblical gospel of faith, repentance, being born again, obedience and endurance but most of them have a false gospel that lacks new life. 

They also teach many unbiblical practices: 

 * They claim a man's name (Jacob Hutter).  1 Corinthians 1 tells us not to claim the name of a man. 

 * They believe you must live out the community of goods as in Acts 2. All material goods are held in common or common purse meaning that all material goods are not individually owned but instead owned by the community as a whole. While people can certainly do this, they claim you must do this. This is works based and unbiblical.

 * They believe that peace and forgiveness of sins comes through their ministers.  This is blasphemous, only through Jesus Christ is that possible. (John 14:24, Acts 3:19))

 *They attend ritual man made services which are not let by the Holy Spirit but instead by man. (Colossians 2:8)

 *The women are not biblically dressed and are adorned.

 *Many Hutterites are instructed to not listen to or speak to outsiders about biblical matters even the gospel.  We are to preach the gospel (Mark 16:15 and 1 Peter 3:15)

 * They have ritual meetings run by man and a clock and not the Holy Spirit. Read an article here about that:

This group called the Hutterites is not a biblical group and should be avoided.  We have tried and will continue to try to reach out to them in encouragement to reject man made religion and instead seek truth in God's Word alone.
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. (Mark 7:6-9)

Don't be deceived even by the groups that look closer to the truth but are not.
