As we come closer to the end times we see more apostasy in the so called 'christian' religious organizations and prayer walking is just another false (and dangerous) teaching to add to the list.
What is prayer walking? It's a recent invention (not instructed in the Word) where people walk a certain location and pray to release 'so called' strongholds and demonic possession in order to open the area to evangelistic means. Many believe they need to experience the location (sight, sounds, scents, scenes etc) and therefore will have more power in the prayer for dominion over the particular area. They believe this practice will tear down strongholds and cast out demons, this is unbiblical as only our Savior is able to do so. Prayer walking is very similar to the New Age occult labyrinth walking (which professed Christians are participating in as well) where you walk a labyrinth while meditating and praying, with the purpose of reaching the center as the destination representing the center of ourselves. God's Word teaches His people not to be as the pagans and heathens practicing mystical and contemplative prayer!
Prayer walking also goes against what the Word tells believers to do and that is not be like the Pharisees:
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6:5
Prayer walking is a big public show. Many of the religious organizations announce the event ahead of time, oftentimes many people join in and regardless whether it's one person or 100, it is a spectacle to be seen of men.
How does the Word, our only guide, teach us to pray?
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:6

The result of these prayer walks usually ends up in another false, man made organization being formed in that particular area by an unbiblical church planter or expansion of an already existing man made organization that will lead even more people astray with their unbiblical gospel, lies and false teaching.
While prayer walking sounds really spiritual, there is no biblical basis for it and it's founded in the occult world which God warns against.
