This article is to expose the lie of Gaia Worship, a New Age movement of a pagan religion that has been around since before Christ Jesus and is now revived and increasing tremendously in popularity especially among femninist groups. It is the worship of the creature (earth) and not the true creator (God). The founder of this revived religion is James Lovelock who has the hypothesis that the earth is alive and every living thing in it is responsible for regulating the conditions of life, all based in the lie that there was a goddess (gaia) that created the earth and all in it.
They claim that from chaos (Mother Earth or Earth Mother who is essentially a mythical goddess) birthed or created the earth and everything in it as a type of uni soul (one soul, all encompassing energies or forces etc) all sharing from it and therefore each has a part in the outcome.
Gaia worship rejects Christianity and claims it an enemy to their cause of uniting all life forms around Mother Earth. It's a combination of eastern mysticism, paganism, science and feminism and it's popularity is growing fast, see 'global warming' in the UN.
Satan, the god of this earth, has created this theory and religion contrary to the truth of a creator God.
God is referenced in the male form (Father) and satan and his followers have 'Mother Earth'.
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (1 Corinthians 8:6) The bible is loaded with more reference verses.
God created the earth and all in it, Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
(Read the entire book as it's specific that God created everything. Not a mythical 'Mother Earth'.)
God breathed life into the man that he created:
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)
This is referring to an individual soul, not all souls connected through some energy or life force as Gaia worshippers claim. Also see that man (male) was created first and the female crated FROM the male. (Not male being created from a female 'mother earth'.)
God is in control of this earth, not a mytical female force.
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:16-17)
Feminism is the basis of this cult as it claims a female creator, thus breeding tremendous amounts of feminism in the followers going directly against God's Word in the creation / headship order. Read many articles about feminism here:

Many pagan gaia worshippers are vegans (who eat no meat or animal products) because they do not want to eat anything living as they claim it has a life force that is interconnected with every living being. They are instructed to be mindful as they are eathing so as to be more connected with and giving thanks to 'mother earth'. God's Word says we are to thank Him:
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (Colossians 3:17)
Pagans claim that crystals have mystical healing powers but God's Word warns about witchcraft (magic):
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. (Dueteronomy 18:10-12)

Pagan gaia worshippers use transcendental meditation (through yoga) as a means to empty themselves into nothingness so they can become one with mind and body.
This aids in enlightenment and awakening chakras (what they claim are energies or life forces in the body) which elevates them up the ladder of enlightenement bringing them into a closer union with their 'creator'. God's Word says we have righteousness of God through Jesus.

And He also warns about emptying ourselves:
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. God shows us in His Word that He is ruler of this earth...
But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. (Jeremiah 10:10-15)
God also sends stark warnings to those who worship gods and goddesses, see the following scriptures: 1 Kings 11:5, 1 Kings 11:33, Acts 19:27 and:
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. Thou shalt make thee no molten gods. (Exodus 34:14-17)
It's clear to see that for what God has said and directed there is a direct opposition in the dark occult of gaia worship which is leading many down the wide road to destruction:
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:23-14)
There is much more that can be said but this gives a good idea of how dangerous this new age movement is. You will not find eternal life through it as Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 13:26)
Gaia worship is in direct enmity toward God and should be avoided.
