Slain in the Spirit Exposed / Mark 9 & John 18 Explained

This is another article to expose the very dangerous charismatic practice called.... slain in the spirit. It is the practice of laying hands on people and they fall over or faint and said to be under God's Holy Spirit power. I will help you to see this is not of God but it is a evil making its rounds in false church places.

Did you know Hindu occult gurus use slain in the spirit?
This article below shows video of occult Hindu gurus using slain in the spirit ways exactly like the false charismatic do it today:

In truth, there is NOT one single example of this manifestation happening anywhere in the bible (not one) yet they still claim it is of God. Many false charismatics
like Shane Roessinger ( see him exposed here ) who tried to use these verses as proof of slain in the spirit....  but he fails in a BIG way!

They use these verses below to claim that slain in the spirit is in the bible. This is NOT true nor are they studying for truth in context, as I will show you here:

Mark 9
 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

Note: If we just look at the context of this verse it is the following:

* A nasty demon is driven out of a boy who was physically tormenting him.
*The Holy Spirit has not even been sent yet at this time so it is not at work here inside the boy.
*The boy is not known to be a believer

This verse has NOTHING to do with what we see today as so called 'slain in the spirit'  ...nothing!

Next up is..... John 18:6
They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

So some soldiers fall back when Jesus speaks? Were they slain in the spirit / knocked out cold? No and we know that by just reading on.....

Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

Jesus asks them again who they are seeking so, they are NOT knocked out in the spirit at all.

This verse can be easily explained as men feeling the power of God near them, but it is NOT slain in the spirit at all!

Some points here on John 18:

*These are not even believers but pagan soldiers
*Again the Holy Spirit is not active yet in men

I hope you can see that even the verses charismatcs try to use to say slain in the spirit is in the bible, they come up FAR SHORT to show it. I fear that this manifestation is either a false power of suggestion or it is satan infiltrating so called Christian places.

Read Matt 24 and Jesus warns about the false signs and wonders that will come in the last day to deceive many and I believe slain in the spirit is exactly that.

Jesus said the holy spirit of God comes to convict, comfort and teach....He does NOT make you faint, vibrate or act in crazy ways!

Do not be deceived!
