We were flying gospel signs on a busy steet in a big city South Dakota and a man named Benjamin came up to talk to us. (another man came up and I preached the gospel to him but he left asap) It started out good with Ben but it all unraveled as his heresy came pouring out.
I will bullet point the unbiblical ways he had as a teaching moment then you can listen to the audio's and test for yourself:
1) he does not believe 2 Cor 5:17 that ALL things are made new once you come to Christ (he thinks a past marriage is not ALL things)
2) he claims no one in the bible was ever allowed to remarry after divorce???? yet God via Moses allowed it ( Deut 24 ) and so did Jesus via fornication in Matthew.
3) He claimed that adultery is NOT fornication but the Greek Word clearly teaches they are the SAME! (look it up... porneia)
4) Ben makes Jesus a liar as Christ was talking to MARRIED men when he said "except for fornication" but Ben says Jesus was only talking to betrothed men. Not true!
5) He said Moses only allowed divorce and remarriage due to fornication but that is not true. Go read Deut 24 ...it says due to uncleanness .... then you can divorce her.
6) Ben claimed you MUST be baptized for salvation and it must be in Jesus name. (that is a lie and we have articles on that on our teaching blog)
7) He says it is lawful to have multiple wives today and that is a heretical lie as God always wanted one man and one woman in a marriage from the start.
8) Ben tries to speak with authority on divorce issues but he is reading out of context, twisting God's Word and he does not even know about Agamos that really explains it all via Apostle Paul's use of it.
9) Ben shows great hypocrisy as he refuses my biblical articles I have labored over and he says it is only the Word he will hear. Yet, he stands TALKING TO ME about the Word using his own words, see his hypocrisy folks? (we are to teach and rightly divide the Word and I do that in my biblical articles that he will not read or test)
10) Finally.... Ben makes the claim Jesus was NOT God and thus is a oneness heretic as he is into false theology. (that is a lie and we have articles on that on our teaching blog)
