We leave in 1 week to head out across the country on our 2017 trip. The following situation is one we will often encounter on our mission trip so we though we would share it:

After a long hard day of work at our wood carving business (thankfully we got to preach the gospel to several people today) we stopped at a little shop to get an ice cream cone on a hot Missouri day. After it was served up the lady asked us what we do for a business and we told her . She then invited us to come carve at their fairs and festival for free. We declined saying we do not do fairs and festivals.
(They are worldly and full of sinful things we avoid in our business.) She then invited us to their Christ-mass event and the door was open to witness. I told her we do NOT celebrate Christmas as we are biblical Christ followers and it is a pagan and not a biblical holiday. This led to a witnessing situation that has a common thread and sadly it leads to FEMINISM.
She shared what body she attends and it was a sad for the following reasons:
1) Her husband was there the whole time and not once did he say a word. The lady seems to wear the "spiritual pants" in that family. (the bible calls men to lead and speak God's Word).
2) Their religious body is very unbiblical for MANY reasons but they have a lady pastor as well and this too is sin before God.
3) She told us she disagrees that ladies cannot be pastors/elders but when I gave her Titus 1 requirements of a elder ( a husband of one wife she was speechless). We encouraged her to go to our website and test herself and we hope they both do.
This common theme is all over America and this feminism (born of satan from the garden on to communism and socialism today) is at its root. It is NOT pleasing to God.

We hope to speak truth into peoples lives as we travel and get them to wake up and repent for God's glory. We know we won't be popular but then Jesus did say the world will HATE His own in Matthew 10.
We GO for His glory and truth NOT the favor of man ( or women).
