I have seen and heard a lot of chatter/coverage/selling goods in evangelical ministries and media (as I test them) over the last few years about Islam and its threat. To be clear, we do understand Islam for what it is ( false religion ) and the massive gains they have made in the world and in America are alarming. Having said that it is my belief in the light of scripture that MOST claimed Christian people today have the focus on the wrong threat. While it is true that Islam and its terrorists are blowing people up and beheading Christians ( who wants to die that way?) and striving to inject the culture, we must always be guiding in our lives and ministry efforts for God; by His Holy Word and NOT the fears of the current day. (Islam)
If we would just go to God's Word and read it we would see it tells us the greatest threat to the body of Christ / the gospel and it is NOT Islam. In fact it is NOT the government, global warming, crime or laws being passed to control you. No and to be honest if you say you believe God's Word you will have to admit that once you study; it is false theology/teaching and wolves INSIDE the claimed body of Christ that is the threat God wanted us to be warned about.
While Islam may be getting all the attention since 911, let's go to scripture to help up see the real threat to the gospel and God's truth on earth. What is the threat God said look out for?
* Jesus Christ warned us about events in the last days and NOT once does he mention other religions being the threat to His people. In fact in Matthew 24 we see Him warn many times about what....... false teachers inside the faith.
It is the men coming and saying He is the Christ doing signs and wonders who will deceive many. It is also those who bring or claim to be a false Christ. Islam does NOT do this nor does it even say Jesus is the Christ ( just a Prophet ) so they are NOT the real threat Christ wanted us about.
So why is Islam your focus?
The Apostle Paul also had various warnings for the body and it had NOTHING to do with false religious systems outside but with false teachers/theolgy inside the body of Christ.
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:13
In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among falsebrethren;
2 Corinthians 11:26
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

Peter also did some warning himself.....
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Revelation also gives some warnings about a future false prophet and a false religious system that will rise up on the earth.
And the beast was taken, and with him the falseprophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Revelation 19:20
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:10
While we cannot be dogmatic ( know exactly ) what or who this false prophet will be; MANY biblical teachers point to the false Christian system of pagan roman catholicism as being this one world system. There is good evidence of that in scripture. If that is so it is a FALSE system "within" what the world knows as Christian and that falls in line with Jesus warnings and the rest of the bible as well.
God's Word says look inside the faith and don't be deceived, but your looking at Islam while modern pastors and false traditions decieve you each Sunday. Why is that? My main point is we do not see a threat or warning from scripture about anything that points directly to Islam at all. The threat God's Word really focuses on is from inside those who claim His Holy name.
We need to take heed of this as it matters!

If you are not truly born of God or your keeping false ways each Sunday; Islam is NOT your main issue but an angry God is!
I do find it strange and quite suspect.
All the evangelical ministries so focused on EXPOSING Islam ( selling books, conferences and DVD's by the millions) while they TOTALLY over look the sins and deception of man made Christian denominations that sit on every corner in America today. While Islam is indeed at work in the land trying to deceive people that they are a true peace loving faith, how many MILLIONS of people sit under apostate denominations and modern pastor wolves who are not teaching all of God's Word but false gospels, seeker ways and pagan worldly theology that cannot save anyone?
Jesus, in His time on earth, did NOT go after the pagan religions as threats. No He harshly called out those "in the faith" who were doing false ways. Go read Mark 7:6-9 and tell me how God feels about false traditions done in his name. ( see Sunday church today)
So ask yourself...why are these "claimed" men of truth NOT exposing false Christianity, the ill reformers who were murderers or the MANY unbiblical false traditions of man that have become Christian-dum in the USA.... that God HATES?
It is because they have found a target market audience in the evangelicals who love to hate on Islams ways. If these false money grubbing$$$$$ men were to expose Christmass as pagan or the reformation fathers that taught MANY heretical murderous ways; they would lose their money train. This is most sinful and they will answer to God for it.
Again.... Islam is indeed a physical threat to those who serve Christ but they are NOT the main spiritual threat to the true faith at all. If people were biblical and keeping God's Ways in His true NT holy body vs man made Sunday ritual religion not one born again trained up person in Christ would be fooled by Islamic teachers.
It is BECAUSE the so called Christian faith in the land today is so weak, unbiblical, worldly, carnal minded, ignorant of holy scripture and full of false converts that they are easy prey for ANY false teacher or ill system like Islam.
Do you see the real picture now?
The evangelical world has a HUGE plank issue.
Christ told us in Matthew 7 to get the plank out of your own eye before we judge others.
Evangelical leaders crying out about Islam ( the world ) when they ignore the massive sinful ways in their own theology and pews.
Paul told us to judge each other NOT the world in 1 Corinthians 5.
The ONLY reason Islam can even be considered a threat to deceive others at all is because the denominational American believers today have sooooooo many planks in their eyes like pagan holidays, false gospels, fancy religious buildings, worldly lives, emotional so called worship music, worship services vs holy lives daily, super star preachers, modern hired pastors vs many godly trained up men, alter calls, accepting Jesus bot no repentance, false traditions of man, fleshly pursuits like entertainment, love of self, money, pleasure and on and on.
