If you have read our website you know that we are calling out to people to test what they believe and to leave man made religion for God's glory. We believe that understanding and knowing what is true or false calls for a person to search the bible for God's message to His true people and to know truth from man made error. Are there really man made systems of faith that one must be weary of and avoid if they claim to be Christ's spotless bride? Indeed there are and the topic of Babylon in the last days is one that may surprise you and also shed much light upon the largest "so called" Christian religious system on earth.
In the book of Revelation "Babylon" is talked about in great detail in the last days of man's rule on earth. Many people have a wide and differing view on just what or who Babylon is in those last days. Some say it is the revived city of Babylon in Iraq. Others say it could be Islam and others still claim its America. Some say no, it is a new false religious system set up under the antichrist. While we cannot say dogmatically that we know for sure what it is; if we look with discernment to God's Word it does give us a good picture of who "may" fit the description today and then in the last days as well.
In Chapter 17... Babylon is called a harlot and a whore who fornicates. In the bible, God's true church is called a spotless bride so that which would oppose Him / fornicate against / cheat on Him would be considered a spiritual whore or harlot. So this would lead one to believe it is a false Christian religious system and so non Christian Islam does not fit well. This would also rule out a country as it would not fit the description of one who could fornicate against God.
So it "appears" Babylon is a false Christian religious system that God has GREAT issue with.
* Can you think of a claimed Christian religious system that is connected to kings and rulers of the earth and they are greatly influenced by her and her ways?
Verse 3
And he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
*Can you think of a claimed Christian religious system that uses the colors purple / scarlet, they are extremely wealthy even having buildings and head pieces with gold cups and jewels?
Verse 5
And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
* Can you think of a claimed Christian religious system that has many mysteries and would be considered the mother of other groups to have come out of her?
Verse 6
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
* Can you think of a claimed Christian religious system that has slaughtered millions of saints who followed Jesus Christ?
Verse 9
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
* Can you think of a claimed Christian religious system that is based out of a place with 7 mountains?
Verse 18
And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
* Can you name a claimed Christian religious system that is based in a great city that has influence over the world?
Based on these facts; we would like to propose to you the only so called Christian religious system that meets all of the qualities of a Revelation 17 Babylon is ... the roman catholic faith.
Here are the facts below about that false religious system:
*She sits on many waters and is spread all over the globe / verse 1
*Many nations leaders have been influenced and taken in by her ways / verse 2
*The colors she uses are scarlet and purple ( see pictures on the internet of the cardinals and leaders decked in these colors ) and she is one of the most wealthy organizations often using jeweled head pieces, gold chairs and a golden cup is her services / verse 3
*She is known as a mystery by many and she is the mother of the protestant movement of denominations / verse 5
*The roman catholic faith has slaughtered millions of saints over the centuries ( some say over 50 million ) often killing them in horrible torturous fashion and yet she is greatly admired still today / verse 6
*The roman catholic faith is based in Rome... known as the city on 7 hills / verse 9
*She is based in a great city ( Rome ) and has ambassadors to over 100 countries today / verse 18

In 1 Peter 5 we see the following scripture verse:
The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.
Some scholars believe it was Rome Peter spoke of and yet others say it was literally Babylon?
There are various factors to mention here:
*Rome was well known as an exceedingly rich, thoroughly corrupt, and completely godless city. *Babylon was the oppressor of the Israel, so Rome was the oppressor of the Church
*Jewish writers of the time often referred to Rome as Babylon
*Early Church Fathers also used the term Babylon to refer to Rome.
So there you have it. We believe based on God's Word, there is good evidence to view the unbiblical, false and pagan rooted roman catholic faith as the best candidate for the mystery Babylon in the last days. (Please look for our post soon on why the RC faith is not biblical, but is apostate. )
Keep in mind this would also make the many protestant denominations that have come out of the RC faith... daughters of the harlot system that God hates. (Rev 17:5 says she is the mother of harlots.)
These systems of religion are NOT of God and they are NOT rooted in His truth but in mans vain traditions.
And just what does the bible say about what His true people should do?
Rev 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
In closing... we would call out to anyone who is in either the roman catholic faith or in one of the daughter denominations that left her ( many of them today are further compromising and returning to her ) to come out of those false man made systems.
God's word has spoken and He will soon judge those systems (and those involved with her) guilty for leaving His ways and being part of harlot systems that He hates.
Jesus said to worship in spirit and truth / John 4:24 and this cannot be done when you are spending your days..... in Babylon!
