Public Sidewalks Are Your Friend / Dealing With Police

We went out to street preach in front of a Salvation Army facility in Oklahoma as they are a corrupt unbiblical place that has a false gospel, links to the NFL and they approve of sodomy. (See them exposed at the bottom of this article)

They got upset and the instantly called the police on us even though we were breaking no laws. If you go to this link:

and see the video labeled police, you will see at first the officer tired to tell me I had to leave the sidewalk as it was their property.

Hint: make sure you are on public property /sidewalks and then stand your ground and kindly say it is your legal right to preach there.

99% of the time the officer backs down as he is only trying to appease the people who called him but he knows... it is your right to preach.

The day they tell me I cannot reach on a public sidewalk is the day I will stand peacefully and be arrested as that is NOT the law currently. But even if they change the law, I will still go and preach as God told me to in His Word. That day may be coming but I am thankful for the police today who honor the law and let us preach on as happened today.

Dealing With Police While Preaching In Marceline Missouri

Here is a video of me dealing with hecklers and some police in a small Missouri town as I street preached at a high school football game. (The audio is silenced due to some bad language the fans had) The one police officer was the captain who I called ahead and got the ok to preach where I was. He then went back on his word and made me move. No problem as I preached on till it got unwise to remain then I rebuked them in love and we left.

The other man was the chief and they both refused to keep the drunk hecklers away from me. One officer did step in to offer some assistance thankfully. I was there to preach and bothered no one at all. (their stadium noise we far above my speaker amp) We learned that this town HATED God's truth and they LOVE WICKED violent football even playing demonic devil music before the game and corrupting small children. Sinful and shameful, we pray they repent or they will perish!

Dealing With Police As We Street Preach

Sept 2020

Today I preached outside two false religious places (evangelical and roman catholic) in Nebraska on the public sidewalk; not hindering or bothering anyone's ritual services.

Even though I had told the same police officer earlier that day, I was a lawful street preacher and he said I was fine preaching on the sidewalks, he showed up. Then he tried to say I maybe be disturbing the peace. If this happens, you must push though that and ask for the specific laws you are violating? Some towns/states are trying to silence religious free speech by calling it disturbing the peace but they lose in court all the time.

In Nebraska, they have a very vague disturbing the peace law that has already been challenged and they lost in court when street preachers were arrested for just preaching on a sidewalk. It is NOT illegal to street preach men! Well, not yet anyway but that day is coming in America when it will be. Let us GO while we can as they will arrest us soon. If that happens and we do get arrested, I say men in prison need the gospel too!

I do not believe he handled it professionally at all and then he left and did not bother us again.

We love the law officers but; we cannot allow them to twist the current laws just to stop our work in the streets or preaching truth at false religious places.

Ask the Police What Law are You Breaking?

I was street preaching in a bust tourist town and the police were called by a angry business owner. The officer was very kind and he tried to say I MAY be on private property? (I was on a sidewalk the police info officer told me was legal) I asked him if he can verify that and he tried hard in his phone but he could not. I then that is fine, I will move on to keep peace.

Note: always ask for the law or ordinance you are told you are breaking and verify it. If they cant do that, in truth you are not breaking any laws at all. But be kind and if it is best, move on as we should keep peace with all men. Both officers got the gospel and a thank you offering from us for their efforts in keeping the law.

Dealing With Police in Keystone South Dakota

When street preaching we have to deal with police almost daily. Today I had a officer come up and he was kind and we talked. Make sure you are respectful and obey the law always. Also make sure you inform them that it is your 1st amendment right to preach on the public sidewalk anywhere you want for as long as you want even if a business owner gets angry. Unless you break the law or go on private property, they cannot tell you to move.
His job is to protect ALL of our rights NOT just worldly angry business owners. I usually handle the angry folks by saying; I will be preaching here for a bit longer then moving down the street and that has served me well. Peace with all men if possible... amen?

Street Preaching in Deadwood South Dakota and Dealing With The Police

We stood out at a rodeo event then a tourist town area called Deadwood, South Dakota. As usual, the police were called on us as the world hates God's truth.
They lied and said I was YELLING AT PEOPLE and standing in the middle of the street. That was a lie as it is not what we do ever and it is sad but true how the world lies to silence God's truth!

I explained I do not do those things and then the officer said I could not use my voice amp. I checked that day and was told by one officer earlier that I could use my amp. Then I was told I could not by this officer as they have a no amp law. I willingly complied and turned off my speaker and just used my voice to preach. At first, the officer was going to try and run me off still. I challenged that and requested that I just have my 1 st amendment right in the streets but he was not letting me. (this is were arrests can happen as we have a right to preach and some police deny it. A righteous judge will toss it all out of court asap but it is a hassle still)

Then he was told by his dispatcher, I can preach all I want just NOT use a amplifier. He then changed his tune and said we were welcome to preach all over. He did kindly asked me if I would avoid one food place as the owner was complaining a lot about me. I told the officer I wanted to help his job and said, no problem. He was very grateful and he thanked us for what we do. He got a gospel card and a offer to help him in the faith anytime. We respect officers and the law always for God's glory!

Be kind, be respectful, do not act hostile, explain you are a law abiding preacher even as you ask for your free speech rights. Thank them for their serve and that goes along way with most all police.

Note: if you street preach men, do not let them claim that people complained and do not like what you are saying allow them to stop your speech rights. Who says the world will like biblical preaching and exposing of sin and worldliness?

Can you imagine if I complained about all the swearing and nasty music going on there just because I did not like it? Would the police go stop all those peoples worldly ways? Of course not! They would say; go home or do not listen to it and just move on. The simple gospel is offensive. As long as you are not blocking, hassling people or yelling / threatening them, the police are NOT to allow you to be run off or silenced. We have the same right on the streets to preach the gospel as they do to listen to worldly music, cuss and swear.

As proof it was not my noise level that they hated; just down the street was VERY loud motorcycles, bands playing and an Indian dance festival WAY LOUDER THEN ME! It is the conviction of God's Word they hate but it will convict and will bring a harvest in the Fathers times.

We are thankful that we could remain preaching and holding gospel signs. In fact thousands of people got the call to repentance and the good news of Christ! Listen and see how to deal with the police.

Street Preachers Should Respect the Officer of the Law

We also had the police come see us and I (in my experience) think I have some good lessons for you street preachers.

I have preached here before and made contact some weeks back with an officer and he had told me NO amplifiers were allowed. I honored that but noticed some musician's using amps? When I went back the next time, I saw the same officer and asked him about that and he said if I stayed off the main street by 20 feet I could us my small voice amp. That was good news and I did that on this day.

Here is the lesson part:

As I was preaching with my small voice amp a young officer on a bike rode up and said I can preach, but I can't use my amp. I was respectful and kind to him, introduced myself and asked his name. I informed him that I had just talked to an officer a hour before who said I could use it here, off the busy street. My wife even gave him the name of the officer and he knew him. He said no, I don't think so.... but let me look into it. I said thank you officer, please do that and of course, I will obey the law.
He went to make some phone calls and I was pretty sure I would have to turn my amp off for the day. He came back and said,

Well guess what?

He smiled and said, we have all been wrong. He said small amps are NOT prohibited if they are not loud beyond 50 feet. He then said you can preach anywhere around here you want, even on the busy street as long as the amp is not loud beyond 50 feet.

How nice!!!!

I was thrilled and he was glad he got the law straight for us all.
I thanked him for his service, he went on his way and I kept preaching. (A crowd looked on and they always seem disappointed to NOT see me arrested or run off, oh well! )

Here is the lessons I learned.

* Be calm, lay your signs down to talk and act respectful to the law
( God has ordained them.)
* Talk to officers ahead if you can to be in line with local laws.
* Take down officers names so when people say you can't preach here, you can give them the officers name or other officers the name... it helps!
* Be willing to obey police, even if you think they are wrong
( these officers can get shot at, don't make a little noise ordinance a big issue / they are here to protect us all, respect them.)
*I am pretty sure if I was rude to him, he would have shut me down asap but instead, he ended up checking on the law and it was on the side of my preaching.
* An angry lady told me "I had to stop preaching" but I told her I was legal and had just talked to the police. I encouraged her to call them and that stopped her protest asap.

All good lessons to learn and for the glory of God.

It was a great day, the gospel went out and off we go to preach again down the road.

Follow Peace with Men & Police

In this audio, I talk about how it is NOT peaceful per Hebrews 12:14 to push against the police or authorities. It does not matter if you are a street preacher or just a believer at home, we are to strive to follow peace, all for God's glory. Almost Arrested!!!!

I have always said the day will come when I WILL be arrested for preaching out in the world and that day was ALMOST yesterday! I told sister Debbie, I was about 2 seconds away but no fault of my own.

I will have a article up soon that discusses all the details but in short we went to a Mennonite place to talk truth after their service outside their building. It was calm and peaceful talk ( no yelling / I have it all on audio ) for only 4 minutes and they still called the police on us for being there and talking God's truth. They had asked us to lunch??? and had not even asked us to leave, we were talking calmly but the police were called in anyway.
Now normally that is fine and I can talk to them and it all goes well. Not this time!
This time I had a HOT head officer! He gave me less then 30 seconds to get in my van and leave before he arrested me for criminal trespass. ( he even denied my first amendment rights saying.... I had none in his county, wow!!! ) Imagine that, charged with a crime for going to a church building that has a welcome sign for all on it.

Here is the point of this post.

Below I have some tips on dealing with police. Most officers are decent, you can dealt with them easily if you respect them and obey the law. After seeing this mad, angry over the top cop, I will now remind you and counsel you that it is wise to gauge the temperament, if you can. This officer got ANGRY so fast, after I witnessed to him, I had no time to judge the situation at all.

Please... street preaching evangelists, be careful out here. It is getting darker and the enemies of God's truth are growing more evil both from within the "so called" body of Christ and the world!

Jesus warned in Matt 10 we will be hated and it is a truth you will see over and over if you strive out in the world for God's truth!

How to Handle the Police When Witnessing

If you are going to go out and witness the biblical gospel in this dark world, you will need to know how to deal with police. I can promise you that if you boldly proclaim truth to false teachers and religious places, they will be called on you from time to time. Just as the angry crowds called the roman guards on Apostle Paul ( Jesus ) today's false teachers and carnal Christians will do the same.

The following are some useful points to help you deal with police as you minister/preach in this fallen world.

1 ) be kind and professional and record your talk with them
2) do not act angry, agitated or make fast moves ( be calm but be confident that you broke no laws )
3) offer them your driver license showing you have nothing to hide
4) explain to them your in ministry and give them a gospel card and the biblical gospel... if they will listen
5) video and audio all your ministry and offer them to hear it showing you did not wrong ( people will lie about your words )
6) be respectful and follow their instructions, calmly ( stay cool )
7) if they say you cannot preach where you are, ask why, what ordinance are you breaking? (tell them you want t obey the law)
8) If they wont offer it up, move on peacefully, just ask where you can go to learn about that reason / law they are moving you along for?
9) If you feel they are abusive, be kind, ask for their badge number and go your way ( sometimes do it very quickly ) without incident to preach somewhere else vs going to jail.
10) thank them for their service always ( unless you end up in conflict with them then its not wise )
11) know your local laws and free speech amendment rights and remind officers you have freedom of speech
12) stay off private property when preaching ( this is HUGE! )
13) avoid using super loud amplifiers ( it is very annoying to the world / keep it respectable! )
14) try to gauge the officers temperament and act accordingly

The following tips will just help you "MAYBE" avoid police contact altogether:

15) notify a police dept or chief ahead, you will be working / preaching in the area and are a law abiding preacher not a threat.
16) do not preach at vile places like gay parades, strip clubs or in front of bars ( alcohol or big rabid events/movements in one place can get you in trouble that Jesus and Paul never got involved in )
17) avoid night preaching ( it is rare when it is a "good idea" )
18) do NOT argue with people / just preach, tell them to email you to talk doctrines if it is going to be a debate
19) do NOT engage angry mockers/ hecklers/move to avoid them
20) do not yell "AT" people but lift your voice and preach to gospel.

*** Also have a plan with others in case you do get arrested.

These are just some general points that have helped me NEVER be arrested yet! :) ( I say yet as do expect one day I will be arrested as I will be either wrongly accused or I will have to break a ungodly law no doubt / See Acts 5:29 ) My goal is to OBEY all laws till they cause me to sin or not be able to obey my God.
( Jesus Paul and the other saints were all arrested. If done for the right reasons, it is glorifying to God )
