Another sad scripture twister award to be used as a edification and teaching moment not a get you back moment.
I recently got email from a Mark P. ( I do not know anything about him as he hides in the dark ) who wanted to correct me on some things. Sadly he refused to tell who he was, who he is affiliated with and what doctrines he teaches. (you can see the email chain at the end of this post) Mark had various things very wrong / unbiblical but for this award, lets focus on his poor use of Romans 14.
Mark hints because of what Paul said in Romans 14:1-13, we are to OVER LOOK sin and not judge other believers sin. Really?
Note: Mark quotes a unbiblical false teacher like heretical calvinist Johnathan Edwards so this is a "clue" to who he clings to in theology. He then tries to make his quoting a false unbiblical theologian who led millions astray in calvinism "equal with" the inspired words of Apostle Paul who quoted a unbelieving pagan poet "under God's direction" to do so. Talk about pride and arrogance! Per Romans 16;17... I am to mark and avoid Mark.
A quick study of Romans 14:1-13 shows that was about liberty in the FOOD we eat. ( see my article below to show all it was about ) It has NOTHING to do with liberty to sin in a believers walk at all. Context matters people and Mark really fails here!!!
In many other places in the Holy Word... we are commanded to judge the sin in the body and separate from them. See 1 Cor 5 , 2 thess 3, Romans 16:17 and Matt 18 where Jesus says toss out a sinful unrepentive man as a publican!
Paul says in Romans 6 shall we go no sinning... God forbid no!
Mark has shown like many others we have had contact with, they may love and make excuses for sin by TWISTING God's precious Word out of context. I am here to EXPOSE them and that evil Eph 5. Keep in mind I offered him to talk it through about truth in private; but he ran in the dark and only deceivers do that per John 3:19-21.
Here is a good article on Liberty / Romans 14 that many sinful people twist:
http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/2014/03/christian-liberty-is-it-being-applied.html
Note: Mark was also telling me ( and he went after my wife ) to unite to her parents even if they are in sin and evil against the Father's ways. He has no clue and I hope this post will help him and others for God's glory! He also was trying to tell me that Sunday is the Lord's day. He is void of the fact that Sunday was ALWAYS called the first day of the week and John in Rev 1:10 was talking about the terrible day of the Lord to come as he began to speak about it in that context!
See this article on that important topic:
http://spiritandtruthdiscernment.blogspot.com/2014/02/sundayis-it-lords-day.html
ps Mark seems to miss that I cant take teaching from a man who could have a HUGE Matt 7 plank so I need to test him first as the Bereans tested Paul in Acts 17. But Mark cant be tested I guess? ( he could be a occult Mormon for all I know? ) He mentioned me avoiding church authority and I admit... do avoid unbiblical authority. ( I only unite to godly obedient saints as the Word tells me too / Gal 5:9 ) If only he would tell me who he unites to as; if they are biblical, I will go and support, help and perhaps place myself under them. But Mark wants to keep that in the dark, huh? Does anything good and godly dwell in the dark? You decide folks but say no.
Mark has also been offered the chance to call me and do a John 4:24 audio recording together where he can rebuke all my claimed false teachings; then I will give a answer and ask him questions. So far he has remained in the dark... why is that folks?
I hope he reconsiders for truths sake and we are here to help him if so. Till then he is very deceived in his doctrines
God be praised

But you did not come in truth Mark or in the light....
You came twisting scripture and hiding in the dark.
Your hole is getting deeper ... please stop emailing and just go into that dark already or
be a godly man and pick up the phone and let me know you... if ....you really are a brother?

And that demonstrates why you can’t trust God, either, Jim. If a spirit, Holy or not, quotes demonic sources for truth, you know that something has to be wrong. He would never have done that had He consulted Jim first. Most of your readers understand that, I’m fairly sure. Truth stands on its own accord. You assume that someone who addresses you with the Scriptures on matters is not a brother. Most of us would assume the opposite until proven otherwise. The difference is an insight into the nature of one’s spirit in personal bias and prejudice. I will leave that to your consideration and bother you no further. That way you’ll have plenty of time and room to stretch out every imaginable accusation that you can think of in response rather than humbly considering what has been shared with you. I’m sure that I am far from the first person to do so, probably from every persuasion and association, and known to you personally or not.
The Lord knows those who are His.

You did no such thing Mark...
You did not come to call out per Matt 18 ...you would NOT even share who you were? Matt 18 says a BROTHER comes to call out one on one.
You were too cowardly to tell who you were...how do I know you are a BROTHER?
and...
Paul was inspired by God and upholding Holy script in the light of God.
You are a man twisting the word ...hiding in the dark and pulling script out of context...
You just did it again......
Unless you want to talk in the light... Go away per Titus 3 ...
I agree sir.

Mark says
I was sadly confident that, at root, you would reject truth based on its source since you already accept anything as “truth” so long as it comes from your own understandings and opinions. Paul the Apostle quotes from Menander, Grecian poets, and even a Cretan prophet as speaking truth, so you certainly cannot take him seriously, either. 2 Cor. 13:5-8
As to calling you out, I did so privately per Jesus’ instruction. But the limits are set. Titus 3:9-11

ps posting your personal info? I did no such thing ...
I posted a email chain on theology disputing that was all ....as a teaching moment.
I did not even post your private email...
Did you want me to place your email on my website article so others can email you Mark? Or is that to be kept in the dark also?
Let me know....
God be praised and love to the saints

I did nothing with Romans 14 other than cite it and note its absence. So how can it have been butchered except in your own imagination? You literally made up your own argument out of thin air. Doing that is a simple logic error known as “straw man.“ I noticed this in some of your other articles as well. You apparently suffer from some great difficulties mentally, educationally, and spiritually. I also gave you no permission to publish any personal information.
Your obedience, your judgment, and your outcomes both in this life and the life to come do not hang upon where anyone else is, or who others are or are not associated with, nor any of the other terms of your disputings. According to the scriptures, the darkness is in those, not merely in bad associations.
Philippians 2:14-16. How many things are to be done without disputing? Is that what you do with other believers whom you do not even know, both as the focus of your website as well as in your behaviors on the street? Or are you accountable only to the instructions of those scriptures that you prefer above others which moderate, define, or limit them?
Acts 24:12 Do you follow the Apostle’s example here towards the Jews in their place of worship, though they certainly needed informing and correction?
2 Tim. 2:23-24
For all your many words against others, you actually don’t accept and believe all of the scriptures taken together yourself, do you, Jim? You love disputing, not humility, honesty, and repentance. There is a difference.
1 Tim. 6:3-5 (What does this passage say that I must do, then?)
May the Lord use whatever is necessary to bring you fully to Himself and His Spirit, and to completion in His good will.

So in the dark you shal stay? I wanted better for you.
In love I offer you these gems...
John 3:19-21...Mark hiding in darkness vs light
Rev 21:8 ...with a focus on the word ....coward
Gal 4:16 .. truth does divide
Hebrews 4:12.... Mark must lack use of his sword
Sadly since you won't be a man of God and show who you arevto help me....
your email will make the scripture twister award now as your butchering of Romans 14 out of context and handling sinful parents is shameful!
Watch for that award coming soon in your name on the teaching blog.
And it is loving to do so...didnt Paul call out Peter publically in Gal 2?
Yea ...1 Tim 5:20 says to do it as warning.
God be praised

The only “we“ involved in my email is you and God. Until you come to terms with what He instructs relative to your behaviors, there is nothing else to discuss. Looking for others’ positions and others’ faults is just an extension of those behaviors, another means by which to justify yourself, another opportunity to judge rather than repent.

Thanks for your email.
Thanks for your email.
I love talking of God's truth and being tested and repenting when in error. I do get many emails from those not interested in the full truth.
So..I do require we first cover the gospel path to eternal life and...you share your religious association so I know where you are at?
Then we can cover all your concerns about me.
When can I expect that info on your associations?
God be praised and love to the saints

You forgot to include Romans 14:1-13 in your references justifying your behaviors. Why is that?
"One under the influence of spiritual pride is more apt to instruct others than to inquire for himself and so naturally puts on the airs of control. The eminently humble Christian thinks he needs help from everybody, whereas he that is spiritually proud thinks everybody needs his help." (Jonathan Edwards)
Indeed.
In reading through various entries on your website, I was reminded of a man talking about his self-hating family members from the Midwest who always wished they were something else, somebody else, somewhere else, if they weren't so obligated to where they were and what they believed. He said that if they were admitted to heaven when they died, he was confident that they would be dissatisfied, especially about the low admission standards.
Indeed. In looking over your website, nothing is more remarkable than your presumptions that your own powers of interpretation and application should be in charge, and that everyone else should be tested against those, down to fine details. Your own supposed true Gospel looks and sounds different than the disciple-making in the Book of Acts. Do you ever notice when reading, or ask yourself why?
The arrogance and presumption in your message is exactly the opposite of Jesus who did nothing from His own will but only as He saw and heard from His Father. You will be judged by the very scriptures you post on your website, right on the front page, as the Bible instructs you to be an imitator of God, to walk in His steps.
Your wife, as well, naturally finds it necessary to obey a certain man rather than God with respect to honor for her father and mother (cf. 1 Cor. 5:8-13, 1 Tim. 5:8). If they were part of your church and put out of fellowship for being unrepentant in mortal sin (1 John 5:16-17) or she felt compelled to obey them rather than God or her husband, those would be the only exceptions, and even then it would not preclude the rest of the Bible’s teaching about our obligations of care towards parents and family generally. (If you are renting a home from someone put out of your congregation, can you stop paying rent? Of course not, even lawfully.)
Your endless declarations because of your view of yourself, and your faith in the perfection of your own understandings rather than in the Person of Christ and relationship with Him, are terribly misplaced. I certainly see why you would want to be out from under any other church authority that would hold you accountable. There will be no such escape from the Judge of us all.
Mark P.
