There is a thing called "slain in the spirit" that is happening at a ever increasing rate. It is most common in charasmatic pentecostal circles but it is growing. It is the act of a person falling over backwards in a fainting like manner after they are touched or prayed over in a "so called" Christian setting like a church service or revival. Often shaking, crying, convulsing and rolling on the ground can also accompany it.

To be clear, there are no examples of anything close to this type of out pouring of the holy spirit to be found anywhere in God's Word.
( fact: it is a more recent occurrence among false man made religious places/denominations the last few decades ) This false way has been pushed a lot in the demonic New Apostolic Reformation types like Bill Johnson and Mike Bickle as well.
Note: the truth is this activity is more closely related to the occult then it is the Christian ways. Satan worshipers, hindus and voodoo priests even say this is a common in their demonic circles and practices so please beware!! ( kundalini occult ways )

If you search the Holy scriptures you will only find people driven to the ground in the presence of God's glory or His angels but even then, they are not always affected this way. They often go prostrate to give God "awe in worship" but they are NOT slain in the spirit/knocked out at all. Even in the book of Acts when the holy spirit fell; we see NO slain in the spirit ways at all taking place. We simply see men speaking in tongues; but NOT laying on the ground being knocked out.
We need to be reminded that the type of false men and ministries promoting this acts are false teachers like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin and Rodney Howard Brown. Also the places it has happened at that have become famous are the suspect demonic Lakeland and Brownsville out pourings; also linked to various false charasmatic teachers. ( in these places people barked like dogs, screamed, laughed out of control and many other strange reactions )

The men / ministries who are pushing this type of strange out pouring are very deceptive even twisting God's Word to try to prove their ill ways and spread its false ways to others. Here is one such false man and example I exposed:

This man ( Phillip Blair ) added to God's Word on his website saying the Acts 2 saints were "on the floor speaking in tongues" and they clearly were NOT per God's Word! He got angry when I pointed it out and he refused to change his website language to be biblically accurate.
This act of so called slain in the spirit is either a fleshly action of man or the doings of satan. Either way deception is at work and that is the enemies way. Clearly it is not of God as in the flesh, we do not please God per Romans 8:8
In Holy scripture we see:
*Paul falling to the ground seeing Christ's light, but no slain in the spirit. Acts 9
*We see the Acts 2 saints getting the Holy Spirit, but no slain in the spirit.
*We the soldiers falling back when Jesus said I am but, no slain in the spirit in John 18 ( they were unbelievers )
*In Acts 10 people receive the holy spirit, no slain in the spirit occurs.
The truth is this; slain in the spirit is NOT of God nor exampled anywhere in His Word. Again, it is either a demonic manifestation or a "made up emotional reaction" by people trying hard to fit in certain religious groups that seek signs and wonder as this. ( I recall my experience in a charasmatic church when I was 18. I saw them all acting out in this way to fit in and some were clearly; satanically deceived as well.

The bible warns about satans false manifestations and miracles ( Matt 24 and 2 thess 2 )

Apostle Paul warned that spiritual gifts (tongue speaking) not be abused so unbelievers would think the Christians were mad / out of their minds. 1 Cor 14;23 Can you imagine what Paul would say about this vile act of slain in the spirit?
We do find it interesting that many people we have met who claim this strange manifestation; are worldly, sinful and very unbiblical in their lives but they cling to this false slain in the spirit way.
In my opinion; I believe in these last days satan / his false teachers are using this false way to deceive many into thinking they are of God but they clearly by their fruit; they are not! This is a "false convert making way" of false teachers and the enemy. We are called by God's Word to live by faith, to keep biblical traditions only, to obey scripture and to avoid all appearance of evil.
1 Tim 4:1-2
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Do not be deceived by this occult, hindu or fake slain in the spirit false way. Read God's Word and your spiritual experiences should model Gods design not satan's or mans. Getting Wrecked is NOT of God
