Tithe means = 10 percent and it was part of the Old Testament giving system God had instituted for Israel. (It was a means to support His Temple, His Priests and to feed the hungry.)

But are you aware that the weekly tithe (10%) that you are being told to give to your body is NOT a New Testament teaching and was “never” taught by the early Christian church? Some systems like Baptists and Word of Faithers live by this, teach it often and it is in great error / sin!
Fact: It was an Old Testament law to the Israelites and it was food, not money. It was not meant for Gentile saints. Paul said in the New Testament: “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need”. Ephesians 4:28
He also said: “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
No instruction of the tithe (10%) was ever given to the Gentile converts that believed on Jesus Christ.
One should give to needy brothers, use money to proclaim the gospel, be wise stewards but not support a faulty unbiblical model of man (teaching false ways against God’s Word) that is wasting the Lord’s resources. (Buildings, blacktop, salaries, lawn care etc.) That would be sinful!
The tithe was re-started in pagan Rome around the late 4th century to pay for unbiblical "lifted up" clergy wages and special buildings. Sadly the modern religious places today run the same way, using money for unbiblical salaries, buildings parking lots etc. while God's plan for His true church body is left behind. They use the tithe to extract money from you; don’t be fooled. The New Testament bible has NO mention of a tithe "for Gentiles" but rather giving from the heart and for the need. (Jesus only refers to it once and that was only to the Jews not gentiles.)
Many of the false teaching modern pastors will use Malachi 3 to say “you don’t want to rob God”! This is scripture twisting at best, dishonest and clearly not biblical at all!
“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house” (Malachi 3)
Remember as a main discernment tool and discipline; always read God’s Word in context. This verse was for the nation of Israel and the Israelites only. The tithe was a 10th of the crop they harvested and they were to bring it into the storehouse. Again many modern pastors will say their modern building is the store house but this is a lie. It was the Temple in Jerusalem only. Malachi 3 says let there be food in my house. Back then the Lord dwelled in the Temple. But where does God dwell today? In those who are born again in Him. See 1 Corinthians 3:16
To be biblical you would have to get several bags of produce and hand them to the pastor who’s building was the Temple in Israel and you would both need to be Israelites/Levite priests.
Have you noticed modern pastors don't pull other teachings out of the Old Testament like stoning homosexuals or wearing tassels or not eating pork now do they? No, they go for the MONEY!
They zoom in on the MONEY verses to build their little empires. We hope you see how silly and sad this really is?
It is about greed not real biblical truth and most of them are only desiring to control you and your wallet. If you doubt that is true; just take them this truth and see if they repent and correct themselves? Call us and we will go with you to ask them about it. If they continue to extract your money to feed the false denominational system they have vowed to uphold against which is against God's Word; you have your answer don't you?
It is all done to create a money flow from you in the the pews as they can’t survive without it.
You need to be biblically giving from your heart and to where there is a true need only. Not just handing the Lord's money over to men who are wasting it and are far outside of God's truth for His people.
You may ask yourself; so why have I been lied to all these years about giving the tithe?
You will have to go ask your modern pastor about that won't you? Ask him if he wants all biblical truth or just his man made system he cant defend with the Word?
