Day 40
We were at camp Walmart for the night and I saw a man camping who had the same generator we have. I walked over we chatted about it and I learned he is a full time rv-er with his wife and they are from Arizona. I shared we were also travelers and I was a chainsaw carver. He thought that was awesome and got all excited to have met me!!!
But then I gave him our gospel card and he said, oh we are committed Christians! I began to share with him bible truth including the 5 keys of the gospel to eternal life and he was noticeably less excited to have met me? After he was praising America, I shared with him the truth about the biblical ills of America and that it is more ripe for God's judgement NOT His blessing.
At that point he told me his interested ( patriotism and football ) and that it is ok if we are worldly sometimes. I challenged him in love to go deeper in the Word to see we are to be holy and set apart always for God. I offered him dontperish.com
He said thanks and left.
In the morning... he got his camper ready, saw he were up and moving but he just rolled off down the road!
Here is the point.... I saw him talking with people of the world about all the cares and lusts of this life but for us as believers, he had nothing else to say, no love to show at all and this is all too common and the norm we see form American Christianity.
Jesus said this:
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:35
Those who dont love other believers, do not show they are Christs disciples.
Jesus is NOT a liar!!!!
