In my continuing series on testing the teachings of ruling unbiblical bishop Mark Bullen of Living Faith Christian Fellowship, I now turn to his audio sermon on his website dated Sept 2018 / #722

In this teaching Mr. Bullen attempts to use the bible to prove that SUNDAY is the Lords day and thus Christians MUST honor it and gather on that day. This is another example of Marks twisting the scriptures to prove his ill view but he never shows it clearly in Gods Word and gets it very very wrong thus he is deceiving others!
I want to say upfront that:
there is NOT ONE SINGLE VERSE in the bible that states Sunday is the Lords day, not one verse! I will show it is just another MAN MADE Baptist like doctrine/tradition of man that Mark clings to but Jesus hates! See Mark 7 :6-9
Mark claims to follow God's Word/Bible in every detail but he really just works hard to beef up his man made "Baptist like ways" vs following the scriptures full truth. I will show that by going through this teaching in detail and marking his errors / the minute they occur on for teaching purposes. Lets get into it for God's glory....
*At the 4:00 minute mark, Bullen uses the early church fathers to say while they are not inspired, they should know the truth as they were close to it and this is important to consider he says. (Then he exposes Tertulian as a false teacher as well, this is confusing???) He mentions that the church fathers in the 2nd and 3rd century all called Sunday the Lords day. But they also taught various heresy, Mark that led to roman cathloic pagan ways.... so whats your point? They also taught we are to drink Jesus REAL blood too and they are wrong!
Note:
The early church fathers also lifted up one man as a ruling bishop too and that is sinful/unbiblical! Mark practices that ill man made way and see it exposed here:

While that is true they kept Sunday, again they were also the men that lead the world into pagan roman catholic ways so we should avoid them and stick to Holy scripture for our truth! Mark gives the early church fathers FAR TOO MUCH WEIGHT in all of his theology.
Moving on....
*At the 7:22 min mark, Bullen uses Psalm 118:19-24 to try and prove Sunday is the Lords day:
Bullen tries to infer that verse 22 means the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem ( palm Sunday ) is the day the Lord made (Sunday) and this scripture clearly does NOT confirm or say that.
I ask this Mark? So what exact day did Jesus become this? The bible does NOT say! Bullen also goes into the horns of the alter and wave offering the day after the sabbath trying to grasp at scriptures to make Sunday the Lord's day but it is a vain effort for sure! He is scripture twisting to meet his own man made ill theology as he often does.....
*At the 23:40 min mark, Bullen says that John 20:1 shows the disciples were all gathered together "on Sunday" for a reason inferring ..... Sunday is the new meeting day?
The silly thing about this one is the disciples did not even know Christ had risen yet so how could this be a "Christian meeting day"? More scripture twisting by Bullen.
*One of Marks main points he makes over and over for Sunday as the Lords day is Jesus was resurrected on Sunday. ( minute 21:58 ) But has Bishop Bullen not studied this? A Friday day to Sunday time frame is NOT 3 days and 3 nights in the grave.
Jesus was laid to rest on Wed evening and thus he HAD to rise before Sunday ( on Saturday ) to meet his promise and prophecy of 3 days and 3 nights. See this article that proves it in Scripture:

Sadly though Mr. Bullen does not let "Jesus own words about 3 days and nights" get in the way of his scripture twisting and bad theology.
The truth is there are ONLY 8 references to Sunday in the NT Word.
Matt 28, Mark 16:2, Mark 16:9, Luke 24, John 20:1, John 20:19, Acts 20:7 and 1 Cor 16:2 ( they all say "on the first day of the week".... NEVER the Lord's day )
Six of those verses are references to Jesus rising but as we showed you, He did NOT rise on Sunday at all but; on Saturday.
( The other two verses, we will deal with as well )
*Bullen then makes a big deal that Jesus appeared to the disciples twice on a Sunday.
He fails to realize Jesus appeared MANY times over 40 days and NOT just on Sundays. ( he even uses a ill method to push his lie by saying at min 26:55 ... "I wonder if Jesus appeared to them every Sunday?" He is suggesting, grasping and twisting as anyone who is discerning can easily see.
*Mark makes a big deal that Pentecost was on Sunday
It was on Sunday but this does NOT make Sunday the Lord's day. No scriptures support him here.
*At the 25:18 minute mark Bullen says again, that Psalm 118 is talking of this DAY... Sunday
That is a lie and twisting as; it does not say that
*At the 26:36 mark Bullen says they never gathered any other day but Sunday.
Wrong Mark... they gathered..... daily..... per Acts 2:46.
At the 20:51 min mark, Bullen says... we call things the Lord's body, the Lord's table, the Lord's supper... so why can't we call it the Lord's Day Sunday????
Again... MAJOR twisting here as he and the heretic early church fathers can call Sunday the Lords day ...but God's Holy Word NEVER does.
*At the 31:36 min mark Bullen says believers are meeting / doing the Lords supper ( breaking bread ) "weekly" on Sunday. ( he uses Acts 20:7) ... But again this is a lie as Acts 2:46 says this:
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Here are other verses that refutes Mark's Sunday teaching:
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
Acts 5:42
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Hebrews 3:13
How do you do that daily thing if you're ONLY meeting on Sunday folks?
By the way, if Mark claims to meet just as the disciples did, does he notice in Acts 20:7 that Paul preached till midnight meaning; either they started in the late evening or they preached all day long till midnight?
Mark does not meet that way, no! He meets as the Baptists do on Sunday am from say 9 to noon in a man controlled service, nor does he meet daily either. He is acting a hypocrite in this.
*Mark also uses 1 Corinthians 16:2 to say they were gathered on Sunday.
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
There is NO mention of a set religious service here and Paul is making plans for a ONETIME offering to be taken up for Jerusalem starving saints. "Lay by him in store" means you store it up yourself.....but Mark fails to mention that as a one time event as he twists the truth to meet his ill end and this in NO WAY makes Sunday the Lord's day
*At the 33:24 mark Bullen says, it is a given the saints gathered and collected money on Sundays". No Mark it is not a given at all and even if we see a few instances of that, NO WHERE does the bible call Sunday the Lords day.
*At the 33:4 min mark, Bullen suggests Christ may return on a Sunday! More inferring but; NOT BIBLE TRUTH!
( Jesus said NO man knows the day )
*At the 34:00 min mark, Bullen again says Psalm 118... this is the day the Lord made, Sunday!!! More conjecture ( lies?? ) but NOT bible truth at all.
*At the 35:00 min mark, Bullen goes into Heb 10:25 wrongly saying this is about Sunday gathering when it is NOT! See the link/article that proves Heb 10:25 is about gathering to Christ NOT Sunday religion. Bullen is a terrible bible teacher

*At the 36:55 min mark, Bullen makes the claim that Psalm 118 is a prophecy about Sunday as the Lords day! This is a lie as it is a prophecy about Christ coming indeed; but NOT Sunday as the Lord's day
*At the 42:15 min point, Mark quotes 1 Thess 4:16 about Christ's return then says... could it be on Sunday??? More inferring but NOT truth from the Word?
*At the 43:00 min mark, Bullen says Rev 4:1 could be about the rapture and AGAIN infers could Jesus return on Sunday??? This is more ill idea planting and suggesting of man made ideas vs teaching solid bible truth
*At the 44:00 min mark, Bullen makes the unbelievable statement...what if your NOT "in church" on that day Jesus returns? This further proves Bullen links Sunday church going to salvation as our massive testing on him shows over and over.
Mark Bullen has a FALSE GOSPEL!!!!
*At the 44:19 min mark, Bullen says so.... SUNDAY IS THE LORDS DAY! Does he ever offer ANY scriptures that really say that vs just inferring and suggesting his twisted ill Baptist like man made truth? No...sadly he does not
Then to close his teaching.....
*At the 45:12 minute mark Bullen calls the building they meet in the Lord's House showing he has NO CLUE that we are the temple now, NOT any building
Note: Mark Bullen also quotes the Epistle of Barnabus in his teachings ( see our testing of him ) It was Barnabus who hated the Saturday Sabbath, believed the law against eating pork for Jews was not true but that only acting like a pig was sin, he quoted from the Apocrypha and he had other STRANGE theology but Mark uses him to defend Sunday as the Lords day, not good
Can you see how Bullen programs his audience with lots of suggestion, ill theology and ideas but they are NOT truth in the Word at all. In our testing below we show he admits openly he programs the people in the pews..go read it yourself)
So where does the bible ever use the term ... the Lord's Day?
Only once in Revelation chapter 1
I need to mention here Mark tried the say that Rev 1:10 where John says:
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet
Bullen tries to tell you this is on Sunday but the facts do not bear it out and here is why:
1) In the bible Sunday is ALWAYS referred to as the first day of the week ... never the Lord's day, ever, not once.
2) John himself uses the term first day of the week in the books he penned.... NEVER the Lords day to mean Sunday.
3) John uses the words in Rev 1:10... as a trumpet... then goes into the futuristic events of Christs return in a vision. If you look into the verses about the Day of the Lord they refer to a trumpet! John is referring to the day of the Lord and His return, NOT Sunday.... in Rev 1:10
Let us NOT forget that if Sunday is now the Lord's day, Apostle Paul was in sin to not teach us that anywhere! He refused to give ANY support of any holy days past or present, now that Christ has come.
Sadly... Mark Bullen is using this made up Sunday Lord's Day theology to CONTROL people to come gather in his religious building (added on HIS house) that he wrongly calls the Lord's house so he can act out his unbiblical Ruling Bishops role. He believes he and his made up "progam" are what saves people NOT the Work of Christ via the Holy Spirit. (Read our testing of him as we prove it all with his own words. )
In closing, did you see ANYWHERE in Marks teaching that God's Word clearly states Sunday is the Lords day or.......... did you see Bullen twisting scripture to meet his unbiblical Baptist like early church father influenced false theology?
