The Harvest to Come!


As we travel all over the nation as van dwellers preaching Christ; currently it is fall and we see lots of farmers out hurrying to harvest their crop. I find it so amazing how these big machines can separate the valuable seeds out from all of the waste and dried up stalk/chaff plus they work so fast! 

 I cant help but think of a GREATER harvest to come one day. 
The bible talks of it in the gospels and in Revelation:

 Matt 9:27
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

Matt 13;39
 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

 Mark 4:29
But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

 Rev 14;15
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

 As I preach the gospel all over, we see so many lost souls headed to hell. In love; I have to remind them of the GREAT harvest to come. When that sickle is plunged; will they or you be part of the valuable seed/harvest of the Lord to be taken with Him or will you be part of the waste/chaff that will go into the fire and be burned? ( hell ) 

 The Word of God also states it another important way on judgement day:

 Matt 25
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Ask yourself today as you live your life; are you one of God's sheep that obediently know / follow the Shepherd Christ or are you a goat? Goats are unclean, sinful, not born of God, goats follow themselves, man made religion, their flesh and the world. 

Having been raised on a farm and having grown crops; I often think a lot about Harvest day.
With the Lords help and grace; I am striving daily for the following GREAT harvest day:
1) to myself/my house be part of the Lords harvest
2) to help others know of and enter into that harvest as well ( eternal life vs judgment )

Where are you in that great harvest to come? 
Once you die it is too late, your fate is set. Today is the day of salvation!!!
