We are resting up on the homestead (but doing some needed projects) after a long fall/winter of witnessing and street preaching after wearing out another set of shoe soles. I now have a plan for our next mission trip to come very soon and we are excited! Lots of events and new places to seek out, proclaim the truth and reach the lost.
In this down time, I have been contemplating what it really means to go and proclaim the gospel to this dying dark world. After doing it for sometime now; we have come to see that the importance of this work that cannot be under estimated. Souls of mankind are on the line and eternity is in play for them all. We can bear witness that so few are out there preaching the biblical gospel that leads to eternal life and so we know our work must go on. We are blessed to be called to go do it even though the challenges and trials it brings seem to be growing with each coming year. Brother Jim (me) is not getting any younger and while this body has a lot more aches and pains; God keeps giving me (and Sister Debbie) the power and desire to keep going for lost souls and His glory.
Have you ever really thought about the .... value of a soul?
God creates each person as a unique being and they will have only one of two fates; heaven or hell? I could spend most of my life striving for that which is of this perishing world like money and things. Yet Jesus called me to another life, a pursuit that is far more important, vital valuable and what a joy to labor in it!
I want to share with you just some of my favorite verses that have framed my life and changed it from pursuits of things/money to truth, righteousness and souls.
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:7
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Matthew 18:12
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28
But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. Luke 15:32
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matthew 25:46
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Gal 6:8

We were lost souls, but now we are found in Christ!
Thank you Lord for the call to go and reach precious souls in your name! We plan to proclaim Him till our souls go home to the Father.
