Jews and Gentiles Into One Body

 I was cutting firewood on the homestead and I came across something I have never seen before in all my years in the forest. See the picture of a elm tree that has grown together perfectly with a shag hickory tree and they are like one tree.

This made me think about the amazing work that Christ has done between jew and gentile.

 Have you ever pondered how God was looking after Israel all that time as His favored people then wondered to yourself; where do we gentiles fit in as clearly we are not Jews?

I have good news for you!

Let me take you to Ephesians chapter 2

 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

***** Here it talks about the plight of gentiles back then as they had no hope.

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

**** Ah yes; the gospel and His blood make all the difference. Never get too far away from the gospel!

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

**** Paul tells us that Christ has made the two one with His perfect work (death burial and resurrection) That partition was the Torah law that Christ came to fulfill / see verse 15.

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

**** By the cross; Jew and Gentile have been spliced into One Body, the body of Christ. Both Jew and us the gentiles have been reconciled, glory to Him what a great hope we have! Much of Acts / the epistles are all about the Jews and the Gentiles trying to get along in this One Body of Christ.

Read on to see all that He did for us:

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Jesus Christ was that bridge and He made our salvation possible as God (through Him) made a way for us gentiles to be grafted in and gain eternal life. See Romans 11 also where Paul discusses this as well with a warning about staying in the goodness of God or be cut off!

The Lord does still have a plan for Israel the nation but; we gentiles have a place with the Father, all due to the Savior who died for us. He is a God of redemption, He is worthy of all honor and our eternal praise!

See the gospel below to make sure you are really in and of Him.

God be praised
