Examining and Searching

 

The Word of God says a lot about the topic of examining and searching. Sometimes it is God doing the search or examining and other times it is us who must partake in those acts. Enjoy the following list of scriptures about those aspects of the faith and I pray it is edifying to you all.

Job 10

Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man's days,

6That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest

 after my sin?

7Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none

 that can deliver out of thine hand.

Job 32

 understand judgment.

Psalm 26

Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and

 sit with the wicked.

Psalm 44

Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the

 secrets of the heart.

 counted as sheep for the slaughter.

Psalm 77

I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient

 times.

6I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune

 with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

7Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable

 no more?

Psalm 139

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and

 know my thoughts:

24And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me

 in the way everlasting.

Proverbs 4

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the

 issues of life.

24Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips

 put far from thee.

25Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look

 straight before thee.

26Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be

 established.

Haggai 1

Ezek 34

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.

John 5

Romans 8
