Biblical Outer Garment for Saints of the Most High

 

(tunic ...robe ...raiment..mantle.. clothing....(dress for ladies)
It was given to us in Genesis 3:21 by God, all godly bible saints wore them and it has so many purposes....
Genesis 3:21
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Note: Just pants and shorts as a outer garment are not biblical men / woman always wear dresses per 1 Tim 2:9

Biblical garments:
* It's a sin covering as we rebelled against God
*It reminds us that God shed blood to clothe us and Christ shed blood to redeem us
*It shows our humbleness before God
*It allows us to decrease as Christ increases
*It's plain appearance contrasts the richness of God's mercy to us in Christ
*It covers under garments... for men our pants
*It hides our forms and covers a holy temple
*It sets us apart from satan's kingdom, the culture
*It protects against the harsh weather
*It can be used as a blanket for warmth
*If you have another tunic or robe or dress on underneath.. it can be used for a resting place in the ground
*It can be used as a pillow or support to lean on
*It can be used to shade/block the rays of the sun
*It can be given to others for their own needs
*It can remind us of our fallen place before God
*It encourages us that Christ will cover us if we repent in obedience
*It shows our lowly meek heart for our King
*It can verify holiness within when we cover outside
*It reminds us of our covenant walk with our Creator God every morning we put it on
*It shows a changed heart but alone does not change a heart
*It's a sign of holy obedience
*It glorifies God !!!
For you who use your clothing for fashion...looks..pride...to draw attention... or vanity in love... you are in sin and not using it as God ordained.

Repent and obey the gospel ...

Ponder this men and ladies in Christ....and even you seekers. Have you turned God's holy sin covering into sin itself?
