use control F and type the word .... Revival

Many false teachers are preaching revival and drawing millions of people through unbiblical and quite often, blasphemous teachings. (Jesus warns us about false teachers multiple times in Matthew 24)  Does God’s Word teach us to look for revival?  Or beware of a great falling away?

The fact is, 'revival' is not found in the New Testament (God's Word) and it was a later invention of modern religious system in the 17th and 18th century. See an article HERE that exposes people who have used altar calls in their revivals.

Revival is for someone who is dead.  Believers are alive in the Holy Spirit but unbelievers are spiritually dead and need the gospel to be born again (John 3:3), not a show called 'revival' which is nothing more than a man made act used to draw more people into the pews.  (And potentially fill the money plate.)

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition  (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3)

And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  (Matthew 24:10-12)

The Greek word for ‘offend’ is skandalizō (skan-dal-id'-zo)
To “scandalize”; from G4625; to entrap, that is, trip up (figuratively stumble [transitively] or entice to sin, apostasy or displeasure): - (make to) offend.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables
(2 Timothy 4:3-4)

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. (Revelation 2:4-5)

I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)

God’s Word does not show us any indication of a revival, in fact you can see by the verses above that a great catastrophe of a falling away is predicted.  Believers are warned not to be deceived. One could see that as persecution comes in the end times people will have to make a decision and if they are not standing on the solid foundation of Christ and His Word (Matthew 7) that they will most certainly fall away.

Jesus encourages His followers…
But he who endures to the end shall be saved.  (Matthew 24:13)
