Another Scripture Twister Award is out!
I just heard the very worse defense of having lady pastor/leaders that I ever heard by a Bobby Lampkin.
Note: Bobby was contacted about this but I have not heard anything back from him.
Right off the bat, we know something is not theologically right with Mr Lampkin and it's by his own words. Yes, it seems he was raised knowing ladies should not be in authority over or teach men per scripture, but GOD TALKED TO HIM OUT LOUD about it!

We can discount him as a reliable bible teacher from that alone . If we can start hearing directly from God out loud, I guess we do not need to hold only to scripture today. Can I say 'God told me out loud that Bobby is a false teacher?'

Scripture is VERY clear on why ladies cannot teach or have authority over men in the body:
1 Tim 2
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1 Cor 14
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
Can it be any clearer?Read Titus 2 as ladies can teach other woman.
And read the NT word, as they can be active in ministry indeed but not in elder / pastor roles over or teaching men.
But moving on, here is why you cannot trust Bobby's teaching on this topic saying ladies can teach and rule over men:
*Bobby said we cannot just read God's Word and know the full truth.
Wrong Bobby...
Jesus said we live by God's Word Matt 4:4 and 2 Tim 3:16 says all scripture so Bobby is way off here.
*Bobby said we have to go OUTSIDE of the Word, see cultural issues and other false religious movements going on at that time.
This is dangerous and many people have twisted God's Word to allow sin and false doctrines in this way. We do NOT need to know the culture of that time to know Gods doctrines... we need God's Word and Spirit Bobby!
*Bobby said God used Deborah (from the OT) and many ladies in the NT word so he thinks that means women can be leaders today in the NT body over men.
Context Bobby....
Deborah was in the OLD and it was a very uncommon circumstance such as, NO men stepping up then. Today we get our doctrines for the body from the NT Word, not the OT. As far as many ladies used in the NT, no argument there as there were many used of God in ministry. But Bobby, NOT ONE LADY IN THE NT WAS EVER AN ELDER, BISHOP PASTOR OR TEACHER OF MEN in the NT body.
*Bobby said Mary carried "Jesus the Word" so ladies can carry the Word too today??
This is just a lame twist of God's Word. Jesus had to become flesh so of course He needed a fleshly mother or woman. This in NO WAY says ladies can teach or have authority over men but they can tell the gospel to others which is carrying the Word!
*Bobby said the angel sent women from the tomb.
Again this shows God will use women but IN NO WAY DOES IT MEAN THEY ARE TO TEACH OR HAVE AUTHORITY OVER MEN!
*Bobby says Paul was refuting Hellenism, Gnosticism and Syncratism in 1 Tim 2 and 1 Cor 14 and he was not saying ladies be silent/ not teach in churches.
He does NOT show this at all and God's Word says what is says on the topic. His cultural issues made little to NO sense really.
*Bobby says the word pastor is different than a bishop or elder so women can fill that role.
Its true, it is a different Greek Word but if he would use the rest of God's Word to interpret, he would see a bishop/elder is a shepherd ( pastor ) per Peter.
1 Peter 5
Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly;
*Bobby said the words were "wife and husband" in 1 Tim 2 and 1 Cor 14 tried to make that a issue but he failed to be clear in what his point was.
They do mean that and they also mean man and woman. It is a MOOT point to allowing women to teach or have authority over men.
* Bobby said the word authenteĊ in 1 Tim 2:12 meant some were teaching that man originally came from a woman. Bobby is saying Paul meant ....she is not authentic or the original.
The word means:
one who acts on his own authority, autocratic, an absolute master to govern, exercise dominion over one
That is a absolute butchering of God's Word Bobby. Paul then states all the way from the start with Adam and Eve, so this was NOT a cultural teaching, but a teaching for all times.
*Bobby said that John addressed a lady in 2 John 1 and he attempts to say this lady was an elder or teacher over men in 2 John 1? The text does not say this and he is again twisting God's Word to fit his feminist theology vs just seeing what the text says.
*He claims women can't be silent ( 1 Cor 14 ) or how else can they live out Joel 2 / Acts 2 verses where sons and daughter will Prophesy.
First, prophesy means: to prophesy, to be a prophet, speak forth by divine inspirations, to predict
It can also mean to: to break forth under sudden impulse in lofty discourse or praise of the divine counsel under like prompting, to teach, refute, reprove, admonish, comfort others
If you are do any of these things, you do not have to be in a gathering to do so Bobby. God has a order and His Word sets it for us NOT culture!
Second, Paul is saying they are not to "speak over" or to teach nor interrupt the men teaching but to ask husbands at home. It in NO way says they cannot say anything. Study the word silent and you will see the context clearly Bobby.

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
Where is the blood fire and vapor of smoke today Bobby if it is for today as you say????

Note: Bobby also made comments about ladies wearing make up, dress and head coverings. It seems he is feminized in his theology and does not teach or understand ALL of God's Word for the holy saints today. Jesus said we should teach them to OBEY ALL He commanded. Matt 28:20

Here are some more CLEAR bible facts on this that will make this topic obvious to those with eyes to see truth:
1) A pastor is a shepherd and an elder / bishop. An elder/bishop is a shepherd per 1 Peter 5 so it is the SAME role. ( in the OT pastors looked after flocks like elders do in the NT body )
2) Titus 1 and 1 Tim 3 make it clear that men are to teach and lead the body, not women. ( Paul says husband of one wife is the qualification for elders/ bishops and deacons )
3) Jesus / God chose men as leaders, Holy priest's and main Prophets in the OT (with several very minor exceptions that do not make a NEW rule / God spoke thru an animal once but it is NOT the norm!)
4) Jesus choose all men as His closest disciples and Apostles / leaders ( many ladies were also disciples.)
5) Women do have a great ministry ( example see my own wife ) to do for God but it is NOT to be in leadership, teaching or in authority over men in the NT body!
I am not sure what voice Bobby heard back in the 1990's but I know, it was NOT God's audible voice per the Holy Word! Please read and trust God's Word not men like Bobby who are hearing voices and then twisting God's Word far out of context to promote feminism!
