Could we be entering the last days and the soon coming tribulation / then return of Jesus Christ?
As I write this the corona virus is all the rage around the globe! It is true that pandemics have been around for centuries but we are seemingly seeing a ramp up in them and the fear around them. It is a trying time but as always, God's Word is our source of truth and it actually covers the very topic of the corona virus in the word pestilence.
Jesus said in Matthew 24 the days right before His coming would be marked by:
Pestilences in Greek is Loimos and it means; plague or diseases
It is clear, we are living in a time of pestilences along with the other things Christ warned of. If we are born of Him and trust in Christ, we need not fear the days ahead. We should just realize these ARE the days Jesus talked about and we draw closer to God. The truth is we are NOT of this world and we are in a sinful wilderness, till we get HOME with the Father. We should marvel NOT as Christ told us exactly what the times would be like before He returns and pestilences (like corona) a part of those signs. In order to endure through such times, we MUST be in God's Word, living for Him fully, cleansing our hearts and seeking His will as we see great strife around us. The bigger concern then a virus is are you ready to meet your maker one day either by a pestilence or any other death? ( see the gospel below to test yourself )
Christ promised us nothing less then "great tribulation" to come. In fact he said this in Matt 24:
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Thankfully His return for His faithful people will happen after that great tribulation:
Corona virus or not, tribulation is coming and Christ will return so we rejoice in that! We are not people of fear but of HOPE and PEACE as He is the Prince of peace and He is coming for His own.

Hold fast to the promises of God then make sure you are IN and OF Christ today obeying Him in faith and holiness.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
