I thought this was a interesting project to share with all you van dwellers. Since we wanted more air flow in the van and I had cut the roof out that had a almost new rv vent, I decided to use it as a back window.
I took out the back glass and bought some plastic lumber like plywood. I cut it to the needed shape then I cut out the hole and added the rv roof vent into it. I added silicone to seal it and I screwed it into place. The result is a awesome big window that let in air.

The best part is we can have this open, even when it rains and nothing comes it! Now we have more air flow with extra light inside the van and we used a vent we had, glory to God!
Check it out and see if it is a fit for your needs?
