Jehovah witness (JW) is a very common but dangerous religious group because they
are very sincere in their faith, but their faith is built on lies and are
therefore false, unbiblical and people will go to hell following it.
We care about others so we share in hopes that they will
come out of the darkness, into the light of Truth; repent and become a new
creation and follow obediently after Jesus through His Word, the Bible.
Here are a few key unbiblical issues that you need to know
in order to protect yourself from them, expose the evil of their teaching or help
a Jehovah witness come to the gospel truth.
*If you research their origins you will see that the Jehovah
witness group originated in the late 1800’s. Many cults rose up about this time including Mormons and 7 Day Adventists. This is a warning sign as the true New Testament Church started with the ways Jesus Christ set up, not 1800 years later. There is no new truth under the sun as God's Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 1:3.
*According to Jehovah's witness unbiblical theology, some will be raised to "immortal life" and others to "everlasting life." Immortal life is only for the 144,000 that go to be with the Lord in heaven. They do not have resurrected bodies but have "spirit bodies." Everlasting life is for those on 'paradise earth' and consists of a resurrected body that must be maintained through normal human patterns such as eating, sleeping, etc.

*JW members share the philosophies of the Sacred Name Movement in focusing on particular

*They believe there is ONE God (Modalist) not as the scriptures
show us 3 persons in one. That means
they do not believe Jesus is coequal with God. This is heresy and must be rejected per God's Word.
*They do not believe that Jesus was God. They believe he was a perfect ‘man’ and in
fact, many believe He was a spirit creature ‘Michael’. The deity of Christ is the central point of
the scriptures and to disbelieve this means they are preaching another gospel. This is heresy and must be rejected.
*They have written their own interpretation of the Bible called the New World Translation to push their false ways. Do some research and you will see that they have recently changed scripture. (Genesis 1:1-2 and John 1:1 for example, because they deny the triune God and that Jesus is God, they had to reword those scriptures to suit their unbiblical theology.)
Example: in John 1:1 a text many use to show Jesus is God; but they say the Greek eludes to Jesus as "a god" not God. They have a problem as this viewpoint for various reasons:
*Jesus is God per scripture

*it was foreign to known Christianity for 1900 years.
*their twisted view of Jesus as "a god" only came along when they were formed.
*Its source is a spirit-ist Joannes Greber who claimed spirits helped him translate it. ( he is a deceiver as well )
*The Old Testament tells us there is no other gods with the God.

They would tell you Jesus is the angel Michael and that is a man made lie.
And it is heresy!
They preach a false gospel........so reject them.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8)
JW people are very skilled at their evangelistic ways. DO not be deceived. John gives us a dire warning about such people:
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (2 John 1:9-11)
The Greek word for God speed is:
chairō
khah'ee-ro
A primary verb; to be full of “cheer”,
that is, calmly happy or well off; impersonal especially as a salutation
(on meeting or parting), be well: - farewell, be glad, God speed,
greeting, hail, joy (-fully), rejoice.
This is very important to note because the reputation of Jehovah Witness is to at the very least open the door and take their brochure and better yet for them would be to have you listen to them.
Ephesians 5 says to expose evil and so if you have that opportunity you should expose their evil to them in love. If they don’t want to listen, then shut the door and do not wish them well. If they have a soft heart for truth and will give you an ear to hear, by all means give them the lifesaving gospel and truth, then pray they come to the light of truth in repentance.
