The purpose of this article is to expose the idea of JUST accepting Jesus vs the biblical gospel of faith and repenting to new life!

As we witness to America all across this land (sadly) we often hear most "American Christian's" talk about I ACCEPTED Jesus to gain eternal life.
What does accepting mean:
*To receive something offered, willingly
*To give admittance to or approval
*To endure without protest or reaction
*To regard as proper or normal
*To make a favorable response to
Fact:
You cannot find accepting used in the KJV bible and I think the translators got that right.

In fact the Word says:
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
2 cor 5:9
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
Romans 15:7
( some versions may say accepted vs received )
God accepts us through Christ and what He has done in many verse in the NT Word!
Note: 1 John talks of "receiving Jesus" (its a taking hold of) and this is of course must be in line with the biblical gospel; not in a stand alone way of mere head knowledge of accepting Jesus!
So where did "accepting Jesus" for the gospel come to be used a lot you ask?
Much of this false way comes from the false revival men like Charles Finny, Billy Sunday ad Billy Graham that made a "raise your hand accept Jesus" gospel popular in their false crusades.
In love... we say this is a false and "man made up" gospel that MUST be exposed and rejected as they do not preach the full gospel! It was invented to please man and create more man made converts but it is NOT of God. This type of theology that teaches people to 'accept' Jesus means they are to give admittance to or approval of, to endure Him without protest or reaction, to make a favorable response to; wihtout the whole gospel this is a lie.

Jesus said REPENT or perish, be born again and obey, not just accept Him. We are to receive what he did then repent! Again He also said to be born again and to obey, and then to endure. Not simply acknowledge Him and 'accept' Him into your heart, this is dangerous.

You must find eternal life in Christ per God's Word and Ways ( His complete gospel ) and NOT by mans false religious ways, lest you will perish in your sins.
