We had another awesome day in the Lord on our mission trip. Not only did we get to drive through the most amazing creation of God..... in Spearfish, South Dakota but we got to do the Lord's Work as well.
Another chainsaw carver had contacted us and told us to stop and see him if we were in the area. We did that and we got to talk about the carving business of course. Then I shared with him the good news of the gospel and he said yes... he had that. It was easy to see he was not a born again holy man nor did he have a deep knowledge of God's Word and truth at all. I asked him what will happen to him when he dies and he said ...he will go to be with Jesus. I asked him why he will go to be with Jesus?
He then said... Jesus is my lawyer!
I asked him what that meant and he said Jesus will take care of all of his sin as his advocate.
I lovingly explained to him that while Jesus did come to take on the sins of man; He/Jesus is only a advocate of His true people who have repented of their sins ( turned from them ) and then follow Him in obedience and holiness. I warned him that if he lives in his sin/worldly life and does not strive to know and keep God's commands; it is the sad fruit he is NOT born of God at all and will hear the words of Jesus in Matthew 7 away I never knew you!

We want better for him and in love we pray he does repent and seek God's full truth lest he perish. We are here to help him at anytime.
Then later that day ....
I myself was feeling somewhat depleted and discouraged at all the false man made religious error and sin that abounds in this land. ( like the carver man above) I had expressed that to my wife and she tried her best to encourage me that we need to just keep speaking truth and God does that rest. She reminded me of a man who reached out to us a year ago from down south; we will just call him John. We talked via phone but we ended with division between us and parted. Then some weeks back he had emailed us and said that God's Word was right, he was learning from our dontperish.com website, he was leaving his past false man made ways and striving deeper in truth and that was a GREAT encouragement to us.
Well amazingly this same day not 2 hours after I confessed to my wife my discouragement; John called us late to say he felt he should call us, that he knew God's Word was right, he repented of his past sins and continued to go deep in the truth via our website dontperish.com and he asked for us to pray for him through his trials. We had a awesome talk that really encouraged us both in the Lord and it made us all see........................ how AWESOME our God really is!!!!

We are praying for John and we are here to help him in his narrow walk even if all of the claimed holy people around him reject the truth for man made religion. This has reminded me that there are FEW per Jesus in Matthew 7 but there are SOME that are striving in His ways.
Today we especially are praising God for His faithfulness to His workers and for John who his striving to obey the Lord in all truth, no matter the cost!
Jesus said FEW will find eternal life and he warned MANY religious people will be turned away by Him as they are sinful/law breakers going against His ways to do their own false ways.
