Spirit and Truth Discernment: Drunk in The Spirit Exposed

I have run into many false teachers in the Word of Faith, Pentecostal and New Apostolic Reformation that practice or teach this satanic way called slain or drunk in the spirit. They claim the spirit of God moves and knocks you out in a slain/drunken way. If it is of God it should be modeled in the Holy Word correct? Lets explore this in scripture and see if it of God's spirit or of the enemy satan who imitates God with various false ways.

Moving on....

If we go to scripture in the Old Testament, do we ever see God's spirit making men drunk in a good way? No, not even once!

With 59 references to drunk or drunkeness in the OT; not 1 verse shows anyone drunk by God's spirit. The verses are about drunk as in they drank something or most often it is speaking negative about those who get drunk!

For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. Proverbs 21:23

Lets move to the New Testament when God's spirit came to dwell in His people. Does it ever teach about a drunk in the spirit way?

In fact; in 18 uses of the word drunk in the NT scriptures; not 1 verse even suggests men were falling over drunk in God's spirit. It talks of drinking something and often it warns against getting drunk. When in awe/fear of God and in His light; some men fell down or backwards but it was NOT in a drunken knocked out state but only a reaction to God's power up close.

The ONLY one single verse they can twist and use to build their heretical demonic drunk in the spirit ways is from Acts 2:

Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

The mockers called them drunk and why? Were they on the floor, drunk and knocked out by Gods power? No, not at all. The Word says they were speaking in different languages and it sounded like gibberish to the mocking people there and that is why they said they were drunk. Ever hear a drunk stumble all over his words as he slurs them? It has NOTHING to do with laying on the floor or acting drunk in the spirit at all it was their words only.

All over the NT word we are told to be SOBER and Brother Apostle Paul warns against drunk-ness leading to HELL, not heaven:

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:21

The truth is that satan is the enemy and he likes to twist God's Word. (see his ways in the garden in Genesis 3 and on the mountain with Jesus in Matt 4) He also likes to mock God by counterfeit the Fathers ways as he wanted to be like God in great pride; thus his fall!

"Let me offer to you that this slain/drunk in the spirit way is NOT of God but; it is of satan and his false spirits".

I have researched and found that satan uses the very same way with occult Hindu guru's. This false way is so far spread and over taking so many. I prove it here with this false man who claims the power to do slain or drunk in the spirit ways. He had claimed on his website that the Acts 2 saints were "laying on the floor". As we test out these false slain/drunked in the spirit ways it is clear that it is NOT of God. It is a heretical, emotional, false signs and wonder satanic tool of the enemy satan to deceive and damn millions of souls. And they will be judged over it as they embrace it. Why? It pleases their flesh vs denying yourself to walk in the spirit and truth of God.

Please be warned! Repent and walk in soberness, striving to cling to God's Word and ways in all things.
