Fourth of July Exposed 10 Reasons Why?

Every year America celebrates this holiday in July for the founding of the country with food, festivals, fireworks and pride. It is NOT surprising as the fallen world does what it does, it sins well. What is troubling and needs to be called out is the way so called Christian places/churches have bought into it and go along with the fallen world to lift up what is a abomination to God.

As we go out to street preach today in the midst of their false holiday, I know all the stories of the founding of this nation. How so called pastors preached a sermon then tore of their clergy robe to go fight in a war and kill men over a 3% tax and to be free.

Does that sound like my Jesus Christ in anyway?

That is a wicked and sinful way NOT of my Father in Heaven! This holiday is fleshly, very popular and God says this about what the world esteems highly:

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Luke 1;16

For the following reasons I will inform you that the celebration of the Fourth of July is sin before a holy God.

1) America is NOT godly and was founded on greed, violence, blood shed, killing and war that the Father did NOT ordain / See Psalm 11:5

2) The roots of America are in a paganized, false, of corrupt man made Christianity NOT biblical, set apart, holy spirit / truth faith. It is NOT the way that God ordained, commanded or demands. See John 4:24

3) The men lifted up at this time like George Washington (a heretical deist and a occult mason) and Thomas Jefferson (a anti-christ who cut out Jesus words from the bible) are NOT men any saints should honor or example. We are to lift up Jesus and imitate men hat the chose like Paul / See 1 Cor 11.1

4) Israel is the ONLY nation God ever lifted up as His beloved people (America is NOT specially honored by God, that is a lie) Deut 14:2

5) God is a jealous God and he will not share glory and honor with any one let alone idolatry, a flag or a sinful pagan nation. See 1 Cor 10:22

6) True saints are to walk in this world NOT of the world as we are citizens of heaven first and most. See Phil 3:20

7) Jesus said to follow Him/his kingdom while America/Fourth of July is of satan's kingdom. See 2 Cor 11:4

8) America is a world leader in violence, porn, abortion and homosexual rights. It is not a biblical/holy nation at all. See 1 Peter 1:15

9) The Fourth of July shows how America is a lot like Sodom. Prideful, idle and full of bread (materialistic / spoiled) Ezek 16:49

10) God HATES pride and America is a VERY prideful nation the God will judge one day. See Proverbs 6:17

I could list many many more sins/reasons but what more do I need to say to show you the real facts. Most of the people into this holiday will spend the day in fleshly idleness, honoring war and sinful America that God will judge one day. The Lord has a better way for His true saints!

If you are go on practicing this pagan holiday, the wrath of God will one day be upon you as well. See Matthew 7:23

Memorial Day ....For the Christ Follower or Not?

Every spring Memorial day roles around and the American culture stirs up into many different things regarding this holiday. Patriotism soars, American flags are raised and all kinds of celebrations and memorials are planned to mark the day.

This American holiday has its roots in the late 1800's and it is the memorial to the many soldiers who have lost their lives in battles all over the world while fighting in the US military.

At dontperish.com we are not concerned about what the world does on this day, the world is just that; the world! But we are called to discern what is good and pure / Philippians 4:8 for His set apart ( holy ) people so the question is this:

Is this a holiday the follower of Christ should partake of?

Note: This article will not take on the debate of pacifism vs war as that is not our intent here and now.

Our bible tells us to be thankful in all things and we are thankful.

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Ephesians 5:20

For the record:
Are we thankful to live in freedom and do we know some died in defense of that freedom. Yes indeed!
But with Christ as our Lord, His Word, spirit and truth as our guide foremost in our life; how do we react to those facts for His glory and live in a culture that embraces Memorial Day?

For this article we would like to look at some facts about Memorial Day so we can test it in the light of God's truth. Since Jesus is the truth ( John 14:6 ) we are called to walk in it for His glory if we claim Him, amen? Let us not be swept up in man made ways and error fueled by patriotism or the crowds around us. (See Colossians 2:8 )

Facts:

*God never ordained this Memorial Day for His people.

*Jesus (nor the early first body that Christ ordained) did not lift up this holiday or any war activities.

*It is an invention of the secular government then adopted by man made denominational religion.

*It lifts up the war dead as heroes / heavenly.

*It lifts up patriotism / obedience to a nation to dangerous heights.

Considering those facts that no one can dispute, you must decide for yourself if you will actively partake in Memorial Day as a follower of Christ?

(For the record we do not celebrate it.)

It is common today that many religious folks will quote this scripture to infer a deep meaning to the soldiers killed in battle and mix scripture into this holiday of man:

John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

While it is noble to die for another, is this the case with all soldiers who die in battle? Did some die in sinful pursuits at the time or for the wrong motives? Could this verse be that Jesus was pointing to his own death to come for the sins of the world?

Having said that we would like to explore a dangerous and sinful practice we see today regarding this holiday of man and those who "claim" Christ. That danger is the MIXING of a Holy God with this man made holiday. As we said you can decide if you will celebrate this day or like us, live the day like any other day... one unto the Lord in obedience to Him.

Facts about mixing Memorial day with God that we see all over America today:

*Man made denominational / evangelical religion has embraced this day and turned it into idolatry in the "so called" body of Christ (sermons are often all about Memorial day not about Christ ).

*The flag is lifted up (often equal to the death of Christ, shown by their fruit).

*Patriotism is looked upon as godliness ( where does God's Word teach this?)

*The gospel is perverted via patriotic idolatry in so called Christian places. ( see example below )

*America is said to be extra special to God but this is a lie ( only Israel is that special nation )

If you think we are going over the top, you are in great error and you do not get out in religious America much . The danger flags have gone up long ago and we have seen first hand the result of a non discerning mind mixed with this holiday of patriotic man. Here are some reasons we see this holiday for what it is and has become:

1) Modern pastors all over America use idolatry/patriotism to gain favor with the lost culture around them. It is sad as Jesus nor Paul ever taught we should kill anyone in war or lift up a nation but these false men do it in God's name.

2) Some Christian's quote this scripture regarding Memorial day

Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

(Since when does putting on a military uniform for the USA make you God's saint? You must repent and be born of God to be a saint per the bible- John 3:3)

3) We have actually heard people teach, believe and say:

"all soldiers who die in battle are heroes and they go to heaven"

(This perverts the biblical gospel of Christ and is heresy! You get to heaven by faith in Christ that is evidenced by your obedience to Him, not man )

4) Those claiming Christ today are swept up into many patriotic events and activities during this holiday that are NOT holy, turning it into a time off work for parties and making merriment. (parades, parties, gluttony, pool parties, idol pursuits etc etc )

For this article it was the topic of Memorial Day. We are called to conform to God's Ways and NOT to the worlds ways (See Romans 12:2 ) and clearly:

this holiday is of the world ......not God.

Jesus nor Paul considered themselves of this world.

No they were set on heaven and God's kingdom alone.
How about you?

Having said all of this, it does not smear one single soldiers sacrifice at all.
No, it just lovingly proclaims God's truth and glory ABOVE any man or nation.

God said have NO idols before Him in Exodus 20

That includes patriotism and the war embracing mindset of the American government and some of its people who cling to such ways.

Christ must come first and His truth must always be far ABOVE that of mans ways or it is a sinful thing.

Pledge of Allegiance Exposed

Have you ever wondered about the origins of the "Pledge of Allegiance"?

We were not raised by true Christian parents so we were sent to public schools and taught to put our hand on our heart and recite the pledge of allegiance every morning before school started. For those of you who don't know, this pledge was started by a socialist man named Francis Bellamy and it was adopted by US Congress and revised to include 'under God' and 'United States of America', personalizing it for our country. (You can do your research on the origins and how it has been changed)

This pledge gives allegiance to a flag and the government that rules over it but scripture shows us in Philippians 3:20 that true born again saints are citizens heaven not here. We should not be pledging allegiance to anyone but our God. Think about it, if you pledge your allegiance, it's like making an oath of which the bible warns us against.

But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Matthew 5:34-37

Looking long term at this 'pledge of allegiance' to a secular organization, your word is bound as long as they are in office and if they change to be even more wicked and vile, you are bound by your words. Which by the way the current system is wicked and vile and it's only going to get worse. Yes we are thankful for freedom and we are to pray for the governing authorities/submit to them (not in sin) but we are not to be pledging our allegiance to them.

What did our Savior say in Matthew 6:24? No man can serve two masters. Our master is the God of the universe, not the local government in our nation. One way to avoid children being indoctrinated in such foolishness is to remove them from the pagan school system and teach them at home as God's word commands. This will protect them from much more than just that and you can instill in them all the truths of God's word without them being brainwashed by the socialist Godless school systems.

This is rank patriotism, which is really idolatry. Let the saints of God have no part in the sins of the world. Per John 10 we are NOT of this world per Jesus.

American Patriotism ...Where Did It Come From and Is It Idolatry

It is that time of the year again and American flags are everywhere with patriotic slogans included.

The Fourth of July....

Just today we saw a denominational building with a sign that said this:

God Blessed America Because America Blessed God

We would ask that modern pastor there so where in God's Word does it tell us to lift up a nation along with Gods Holy name? The fact is patriotism is nowhere in Gods Word at all.

It got us thinking it raised our curiosity about how US patriotism and God got so linked together when as we said; it is NOT taught in the Holy scriptures at all. ( Israel is the only nation God has His hand/eye on for eternity )

It has been many years since we read much detail on the American revolution so we dug in and tried to verify first why the revolution was really fought? Was it for godly reasons or for man made gain?
This matters since patriotism and God are always so closely linked together by many American's today and especially in the denominational religious places as well. But where does that come from? ( Not to the holy bible that is for sure. )

After we did some research as we thought... America broke from England mostly over money ( taxes ) and political control. It was the pilgrims who came here for religious freedom many years before as they fled the Kings false church in England. So how was this patriotism linked to God here in America anyway?

We found a article that stated American protestant clergy men in pulpits ( a unbiblical position ) were "used" to stir up the colony people in the pews to win over Britain in war and they inferred from their sermons that God hand His hand on America and would use it to build His 1000 year reign to come. This was an obvious lie and propaganda by men who are to walk in truth.

Ask yourself....
Could you see the Apostle Paul or Jesus preach a holy message then rip off their coats and go shoot and kill people over money? As you may know, American preachers were famous for that stunt and while it was great courage; it was not biblical by any means at all. The fact is that the New Testament has a much greater and better focus for His true people does it not? It is the preaching the gospel and living for Him in holiness and obedience and not making war!

When they finally won over the Brits it was quickly passed off as a "miracle of God" and since George Washington was known to have a type of faith ( some question what type? ) that was also focused on and that is how all of this patriotism is so linked with God still today. They believed then that God had a special favor/plans for the USA and people today still are buying into it though it has no root of truth from the bible at all. Thus all the God and patriotism in America was born.

After that a type of cult thought was embraced known as dominion-ism. This is where Christians are taught to build God's kingdom here by taking the land, government and moralizing everything in God's name and it is growing even stronger yet today. The truth is the bible an Christ teach us to preach the gospel and He told us that His kingdom was not of this world!

What is puzzling is the Colonists claimed to have a faith in God back then but no where in God's Word does it tell His true people to go to war and start killing people over money and political freedom does it? On the contrary it says to obey the laws of the land (Britain at that time) until they defy Gods law. Romans 13

Jesus even said give to Caesar what is Caesar's.... regarding taxes.

So in the end... we verified they fought over money, they made up the "God and patriotism line" to stir up the citizens to fight and they actually went against God's Word in the process, fought and killed to have more money ( less taxes ) and freedom.

Would you today pick up arms and start killing people in Washington over taxes and political control? They did it back then and today many so called Christians are celebrating it. How can this be? Today we hear some talk about a revolution again but what happened in 1776 is not what honors God at all per the teachings in His Word.

Amazingly today most Americans/ even denominational people still go around saying/singing "God bless America" ( We did once to) when in this land:

It is legal to murder millions of babies a year ( over 50 million since 1973 )
It exports more porn then anyone
It is embracing sodomite marriage as normal
It is ever more secular, antichrist and pagan
It is joining the antichrist new world order more each year
Pleasure seeking, pro sports and Hollywood entertainment is the true god here
The youth are lost in sex, violence entertainment and the adults allow it and join them having no spiritual truth anchor.
Modern false denominational religion is on every corner teaching lies and mans traditions... not God's full truth
Satanic Islam and socialism are consuming the land and its laws
very few people know, honor and practice His Holy Word at all.....

But still the "God and patriotism " goes on blindly it seems?

It must be noted that other than Israel, God doesn't honor nations in His big picture eternal future.... He deals with individuals through His Son Christ. We understand how much freedom and good living we have here, I really do but that doesn't change history and the sinful facts does it?

Everyone thinks having plenty and the good life is best when it is a fact... God's glory and His true church grows when it is being persecuted. Look at what happens to a nation when it has plenty and the good life, but no God ... see America today!

God's Word has many warnings ( Romans 1 ) about what happens when you go your own way and don't cling to His ways.
It means judgment and destruction, not blessings ......

American "God n patriotism" is really a false tradition of man as it is not found in God's Word or ways for His true holy people. God requires full allegiance to Him and not to anything else or any land. Sadly this is what makes this massive American patriotism into unbiblical idolatry.

Have you ever considered this American patriotism is nothing more then idolatry?
