As of the summer of 2019, we have become a full time evangelist, street preaching / van dwelling, traveling ministry (self funded / we retired from our business / sold / selling most all of our things ) that is proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and His glorious kingdom all over America. We feel so blessed to be used of God in this small way to proclaim His kingdom as; we are not worthy! We go to street preach/evangelize, hold gospel signs, stand outside religious places and go to the worlds events to call men to repent, all over America!

Generator Gas and How Years Do Pass
We have a small generator we use to charge our van light battery, run a heater and charge our media. We run it usually at night for several hours and it is amazing to report we use under $1 a day to run our van house that way. Glory to God... when you live simple there are benefits!
Another year is leaving us and we are exciting for 2020 as we will be doing more of the same. Preaching Christ crucified to the lost world! Here is a small audio sample of how I do it in the streets.....

Serenity and Surroundings
We were blessed to see this beautiful, serene setting while taking a walk...
One of the issues we face while on the road full time is finding a place to wash laundry. Brother Jim waits for me to tell him when it's time, then we plan a day to find a laundry mat. Just today I looked online and found one so we made our way across a large town and when we pulled in, we were a bit skeptical because the area was not in the nicest neighborhood. We decided to continue with our business but we were very aware of our surroundings. As Christians we definitely need to be aware of our surroundings.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6
Onward we go, surrounding ourselves in the Word of God.....

Separation and Sight
As we walk through this faith life, we had to do it and we know many who have to now leave/separate from sinful so called Christian parents/family/friends to follow after Christ in holiness. It is hard but it is far more of a blessing to obey God.
Will you leave sinful others to follow after Christ?
2 Timothy 3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
I witnessed to a man who approached me about his eyesight as he had 1 eye. He asked me to remember him in prayer. As I went to give him a gospel card, I asked can you read this and he said oh no, I cant see and he just turned away. So we parted and I went back to speak the gospel to him a bit later and he was busy, reading a letter? I also then saw him walking around doing just fine later being able to see. Here is the point:
He either ONLY wanted prayer or a hand out but he had NO interest in God's gospel truth to eternal life.
Didn't many follow Jesus for the same WRONG reasons?
I pray he repents of that selfish way.

Vile Valentines Day and Value

As we walked today, I saw this sign and I knew it would make sister Debbie smile. She likes a good thrift store ( used stuff ) and we are always seeking value. Often we find it in Thrift stores out on the gospel road.

Cloaking Sin and IN Christ We Win
I witnessed to a man living in his van ( we met at Walmart / he camped near us ) who spoke Calvinist ways and in it all, he was hiding/cloaking sin within himself like smoking and worldliness. This is a common issue with these types who keep calvinism/sin and have, no fear of God! See Calvinism exposed here:

Also today, we know Jesus promised FREEDOM to His people. Well a young brother recently told us he moved out of his Dads sinful house to go off on his own for God! We are rejoicing in his freedom for the Lord so march on brother, march on!

Cult Leaders and Ocean Feeders
We had a glorious day.....
First, we stopped at a cultish religious place and I spoke to a leader there for 35 minutes. He was very stiff necked to his man made doctrines and he could not answer things from God's Word, he got frustrated and ended the talk. An audio and article to come soon that will help you see truth vs their false unbiblical ways.

Then, I was able to open air preach at a pier on the ocean and truth went out to hundreds. We also saw these ocean feeders that men were catching to eat. It was very interesting to us and God was glorified today!

Cents and Souls
Brother Jim and I were taking our morning walk and kept finding pennies in the parking lot, picking each one up. Most people would walk by, not bothering with such a small amount.
By the time we were done, this is what we had.
Do you realize that we can buy a loaf of bread and a couple bananas with this amount? Every cent (even pennies) adds up. (No, we are not financially poor by any means, but we got this way because we are frugal.) God has blessed us and our surplus abounds!!!!
So it is with souls, each one being important. We will stop to help everyone with the gospel, not overlooking any that may seem less (according to the world) than others.
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:40
Praise God for another day...down the road we go tomorrow!

Sidewalks and Souls
Sister Debbie and I were recently walking down a sidewalk and it came to a quick end! We had to decide to turn back or find another route onward. It reminded me about this life we live. So many are cruising down life's road so fast, clueless and it can come to a VERY quick end! You are just a vapor per James. Are you ready for that end? There is no turning back once death comes. Either you are obedient & of Christ or you are a child of God's Wrath, which is it folks?
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Proverbs 27
We gave up so many things that are worthless, to live this life of serving Christ daily and preach His truth. But Souls are priceless, the most valuable thing in the universe. We are consumed with telling as many souls as we can about the gospel to eternal life through Christ. It is all that matters in the end and eternity!

Beggar gets Mad and Crowds are Bad!
We were out and about and we encountered another beggar. His sign said need food. I stopped to talk to him and wanted to assist him but he got ANGRY when I just asked if he works? He then said, "just go, move along man.... I am tying to make some money here"! Turns out his goal is to get cash, to meet a drug or alcohol habit not food at all. So sad...
As we walked, we almost got run over many times. The crowds and traffic near stores for their pagan Christ-mass holiday is unreal! We are so thankful to God that he has removed us from that burden of buying, rushing, getting and giving all base on mans ways.
Col 2:8 warns about the vain ways/traditions of man.. and it is not for us.

The Lion and a Liar
It is the worlds false pagan Christ-mass time and we see it all over as we drive and walk. Indeed they seem to want to "fake adore" a lil BABY Jesus in a manger but; they best beware. He is coming back as a LION to judge the world .... unless they repent.
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Also, once again we met a so called homeless lady, turned liar.
A young woman approached us and asked for $8 to get a hotel room as she is homeless and has almost enough for a room.
( a common scam for "cash" that we hear.... )
Since we do not give out cash, we offered and met another need she had then we were about to help her get a safe place for the night. As I went to ask a police officer for any suggestions for local shelter, she saw the cop then she just quickly walked off without a word, not a thanks or even a good bye. Obviously, she was looking for cash ( maybe she is a criminal too who knows? ) to no doubt support a smoking, alcohol or drug habit and we see this all the time. Do not be deceived by these false people.
Be kind, be loving and also be wise in your giving to others as many liars/users abound.

Neighbors and Nerves
When you live in a van you get different neighbors every night. The good thing about living in a parking lot is that if you get a neighbor that is hard to deal with (playing music, running a loud generator etc) you can just move to another spot.
And being out in the world and on the streets proclaiming a message that the world hates can wear on your nerves so we have to be careful to put on the armor of God every day.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11

Guide stones and Google
In an amazing event of God's timing, we drove right past a demonic new age monument called Georgia guide stones. It is a set of granite slabs set up to honor the new age mindset of satan's world! It is pure evil, I stopped to get some pictures and I have a article coming out on it soon here:

As we travel, we see how small this world can be. Just driving from one end of the nation to the next makes you see, it is not all that big. And with the internet, once it took months to get info ( letter/info ) to another country now thanks to google it happens in just seconds. While that can be a blessing, we are seeing more and more how technology will be used to enslave humans just as the bible predicted in Rev 13. Oh, the darkness that is coming. Come soon Lord Jesus!!!

Palm Tree's and Perfect Timing
We made is far enough south to see some really different palm trees we never see up north. ( and yes it is milder down here for sure )
Timing was perfect for us to bless a couple in a motor home with some things we had extra of and they got the gospel too. ( they were broke down and waiting for repairs )
Out here, you see all kinds of people living in all kinds of different ways both good and many very bad! It is humbling at times and you really get reminded how temporary all of the material THINGS people strive for really are just fading away!!!
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Egg Nog and the Heavy Fog
It is that time of year when people are consumed with all the trappings of pagan Christ-mass but NOT SO MUCH with the truth of Jesus Christ at all. I noticed people, all hustling to get gifts, trees and yes egg nog while the same people could care less about Jesus and His Holy High ways! So sad really....it is all lip service faith! As we drove on to the next town we crossed over a mountain and we hit some fog that was thicker then pea soup as they say! Thankfully it only lasted a short time. All part of the adventures on the gospel road as van dwellers!

A Self Made Home and How Far Did We Roam?
We saw this interesting home made camper house on the road and I though I would share it. Any shelter in a storm is a good shelter amen?

I was recently taking stock of the states we have covered in the last 4 years serving Christ on the road. I lost count after 20 and as for the miles, it is many many thousands and that is all before we went full time into ministry as traveling van dwellers preaching for Christ. The nation has grown smaller to us as we labor to make His truth known. Oh Lord, blaze the path for us!
If the lost need the gospel, we are headed there....

Mountains and Methodists
I am so thankful that we get to see God's creation as we travel to preach! See these gorgeous mountains in southeastern USA.
I also had a awesome witnessing session with a man who is a Methodist co pastor at 3 churches. He walked up to sister Debbie when I was outside, then we talked for 30 minutes. He was warm and kind as we went over God's truth vs his man made system. He respected what I said, he commented he would look into it all and test me to the Word. It was encouraging, respectful and not confrontational as street preaching so often can be.
Gory to God....
God keeps sending us witnessing so we kept rolling!!

Presbyterian and Perspective
We stopped in a new town and asap we met a couple who saw our gospel signs. We got to encourage them in truth, to test themselves from their man made dead faith of Presbyterian. That is what we are all about folks; preaching the truth and setting folks FREE! John 8:32
Later, I saw a parked but very strange looking bus .....
It seemed to be a weird thing with flat front and back???
Only till I got closer did I see.....
It was two buses, parked side by side!
That is a lesson in perspectives!
If you see something from one angle or too far away you may be deceived. The same is true with God's Word. Do not just take a verse or two and form a theology or belief. No, get close, read it all, test for truth and do not bring your claims to the Word, but take away it's full truth, amen? How do you study His Word as most people have a very bad perspective indeed on the bible!
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Confession and Clutter
We see a lot out here in the world as van dwellers doing ministry.
Check out the cluttered truck we saw parked in a lot we walked by. It reminds me of confusion & how my God is NOT the author of confusion:
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Next, God's spirit is at work out here.
As we walked through Walmart on a rainy day, I saw a man look at us and my Obey Jesus walking stick several times as we passed by each other. Not long after that he sought us out and began to confess he is living in sin and knows better. It was awesome as we listened and then I gave him the hard truth/encouragement that he needed in love. Thank you Lord for using us!

Lakes and Loving Neighbors
Today we drove past a beautiful southern lake on our way to a new state. Goodbye.... Missouri, Tennessee and Georgia, it was awesome but its..... time to move on!

Hope and My Helper
Today as we drove I thought about the greet hope we have in Christ. A young man contacted me as he is seeking God in California and it was encouraging to us. Do you often ponder the great hope we can have if we repent and obey Christ?
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13
I am sooooo thankful for the helper God has blessed me with my wife Debbie. She is such a blessing and I could not do all I do without her. She is a she-rock for me on this earth. Thank you love... you are the godliest woman I do and could ever know!!!

Near Death and The Destruction of Meth
The timing of God was perfect and we met a group of people headed to a cult conference near by where a man claimed he was near death and he saw Jesus. The man is a false teacher and so we went there and I "open air preached" to warn people about him.

As we travel as van dwellers, we see the sad affect of drugs ( meth ) on peoples lives and it is so sad. I try to ministry God's truth to them and get them to repent/come to Jesus but their minds are often so clouded or focused on drugs, they just cannot see clear. It is our prayer some truth stays with them so when they decide to seek Him, they know where to turn!
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

In God We Trust and Gospel Singers
We did some laundry on the road ( a needed task ) and I saw this sign hanging up.
If you read your bible and then look at America today, you have to ask, what god is it trusting in? It surely is NOT my Holy God of the bible. So sad repent USA... repent!
Then as we were working the ministry on line they had some gospel singers in a separate room. I went and witnessed to one of them ( them all of them later ) and it always amazes me that people think they can be dis-obedient to the Lord in so many sinful even pagan ways but then just toss Him some gospel songs and you are good to go for salvation! That is a lie and God will NOT be mocked.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Pet Idols and Perfect Verses
It broke my heart! We were in our van parked for the night and a homeless looking man came up to us. He was tossed in jail and roaming the town looking for his lil dog that he had someone watch while he was in doing his time. I spoke to the man, offered him some aid and of course the gospel. He said he thought he was born again once but, he needs to find his dog as, that alone makes him feel close to God! Our sad culture is so lost, they have replaced a mere animal with God's holy spirit and Word for comfort!
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name / John 14
We we were out street witnessing and a brother text us some verses and they were PERFECT timing for us at the moment. It is always a blessing to see God work through others to meet His peoples needs! How is He at work in your life and are you seeking him today?
He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hypocrites and Hotrod's
What a day we had! We went to and witnessed outside a Mennonite body and believe it or not, they called police on us for
standing and calmly talking biblical truth with them for 4 minutes.
(I have it all on audio/video to come soon to show their hypocrisy!) We will have a entire post documenting this for teaching purposes but for now we know, Jesus did say they will hate you and persecute you!
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues,

We had stopped in a parking lot and I saw a bunch of men gathered around a race car on a Saturday morning. It used to be a drag race rat as a kid so I know their interest. It made we consider that IDOLS are not golden calves but those anything that replaces God as our interest, time, resources and pursuit. I am thankful God saved me from my idol ways!

$100 Bucks and Killer Trucks
We had a lady drive up to our van and try to give us $100 cash. We do not take money, we smiled and sister Debbie wrote about it here on the sisters blog. Go read it:

About that same time, I was doing something standing near our van as a big semi came out of nowhere driving through (illegally) a very small area we were parked in ...
He was going like 15 mph ( very fast for the tiny space ) and he came by without considering anyone could be there. He passed like 2 feet from me and if I had turned to walk that way, I would have been killed! I was thankful to God! I mentioned to the man as he walked from his truck, hey I could have been crushed. He smiled, waved and walked away fast! I admit I was a bit upset in my flesh to be honest! About then I then decide to go over and ....... put a gospel card on his truck and told him I loved him!
It made sister Debbie and I remember this life is fleeting.

Salt and Sticks
Since I'm a keeper at home on the road and can't stock up in bulk like I used to so I have to be on the lookout for good deals. When we roll into a town I scout out stores that might offer what we need for the best deals. I came across 3 bags of this good 1 lb bags of salt for $1 each.
As we take our daily walks or do our shopping, brother Jim brings his stick. I call it the 'scripture stick' :-) He put 3 multi side sign on it...
We were walking through a store and a man saw the stick and said, with his very big voice, to his wife and buddy (and everyone else in earshot :-)
'HEY! You see that guys stick? Amen! Check out that dude's stick!!!!"
It's a good door opener and brother Jim shared a gospel card with him of which he was thankful.
Jesus said His followers are like salt...
Onward we go, sprinkling salt along the way. (But not like they do on the roads up north :-)

Street Preaching Heretics and Holidays
Yesterday and today was an interesting line of events. We got approached by a street preacher to talk truth. Then he went and gave out website to his brother who messaged me and we talked truth also. He was praising the truth I gave him UNTIL... sin/false teaching was found in their body and lives. In the end, they both said I trapped them and I was satan! Imagine that? They both approach me to talk truth, I give them God's truth in love, their lies/sin/ heresy gets exposed and I trapped them? So sad....
That is all part of this life when you are out here, contending for truth and running into so many, most often unbiblical hypocrite men!

Today was what the world calls Thanksgiving. We did not do anything out of our usual day, we focused on serving God thankful to the Father for all good things. Ok, we made some usual dinner that we eat but sister Debbie got me cranberry sauce with it? :)
Here is the point, man made holidays come and go but it is what is of and for God that matters in the end!
We reject when thanksgiving has been reduced to shopping materialism, hunting, gluttony and football. No thanks....
I will stick with just the cranberry sauce and Christ.
on we go.... and I am not so stuffed full that I cannot walk..

Vile Valentines Day and Value

Cloaking Sin and IN Christ We Win
I witnessed to a man living in his van ( we met at Walmart / he camped near us ) who spoke Calvinist ways and in it all, he was hiding/cloaking sin within himself like smoking and worldliness. Also today, we know Jesus promised FREEDOM to His people. Well a young brother recently told us he moved out of his Dads sinful house to go off on his own for God! We are rejoicing in his freedom for the Lord so march on brother, march on!

Cult Leaders and Ocean Feeders
We had a glorious day.....
First, we stopped at a cultish religious place and I spoke to a leader there for 35 minutes. He was very stiff necked to his man made doctrines and he could not answer things from God's Word, he got frustrated and ended the talk. An audio and article to come soon that will help you see truth vs their false unbiblical ways.

Then, I was able to open air preach at a pier on the ocean and truth went out to hundreds. We also saw these ocean feeders that men were catching to eat. It was very interesting to us and God was glorified today!

Cents and Souls
Brother Jim and I were taking our morning walk and kept finding pennies in the parking lot, picking each one up. Most people would walk by, not bothering with such a small amount.
Do you realize that we can buy a loaf of bread and a couple bananas with this amount? Every cent (even pennies) adds up. (No, we are not financially poor by any means, but we got this way because we are frugal.) God has blessed us and our surplus abounds!!!!
So it is with souls, each one being important. We will stop to help everyone with the gospel, not overlooking any that may seem less (according to the world) than others.
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Sidewalks and Souls
Sister Debbie and I were recently walking down a sidewalk and it came to a quick end! We had to decide to turn back or find another route onward. It reminded me about this life we live. So many are cruising down life's road so fast, clueless and it can come to a VERY quick end! You are just a vapor per James. Are you ready for that end? There is no turning back once death comes. Either you are obedient & of Christ or you are a child of God's Wrath, which is it folks?
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

We gave up so many things that are worthless, to live this life of serving Christ daily and preach His truth. But Souls are priceless, the most valuable thing in the universe. We are consumed with telling as many souls as we can about the gospel to eternal life through Christ. It is all that matters in the end and eternity!

Beggar gets Mad and Crowds are Bad!
As we walked, we almost got run over many times. The crowds and traffic near stores for their pagan Christ-mass holiday is unreal! We are so thankful to God that he has removed us from that burden of buying, rushing, getting and giving all base on mans ways.

The Lion and a Liar
It is the worlds false pagan Christ-mass time and we see it all over as we drive and walk. Indeed they seem to want to "fake adore" a lil BABY Jesus in a manger but; they best beware. He is coming back as a LION to judge the world .... unless they repent.
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Also, once again we met a so called homeless lady, turned liar.
A young woman approached us and asked for $8 to get a hotel room as she is homeless and has almost enough for a room.
( a common scam for "cash" that we hear.... )
Since we do not give out cash, we offered and met another need she had then we were about to help her get a safe place for the night. As I went to ask a police officer for any suggestions for local shelter, she saw the cop then she just quickly walked off without a word, not a thanks or even a good bye. Obviously, she was looking for cash ( maybe she is a criminal too who knows? ) to no doubt support a smoking, alcohol or drug habit and we see this all the time. Do not be deceived by these false people.
Be kind, be loving and also be wise in your giving to others as many liars/users abound.

Neighbors and Nerves
When you live in a van you get different neighbors every night. The good thing about living in a parking lot is that if you get a neighbor that is hard to deal with (playing music, running a loud generator etc) you can just move to another spot.
And being out in the world and on the streets proclaiming a message that the world hates can wear on your nerves so we have to be careful to put on the armor of God every day.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11

Guide stones and Google
In an amazing event of God's timing, we drove right past a demonic new age monument called Georgia guide stones. It is a set of granite slabs set up to honor the new age mindset of satan's world! It is pure evil, I stopped to get some pictures and I have a article coming out on it soon here:

As we travel, we see how small this world can be. Just driving from one end of the nation to the next makes you see, it is not all that big. And with the internet, once it took months to get info ( letter/info ) to another country now thanks to google it happens in just seconds. While that can be a blessing, we are seeing more and more how technology will be used to enslave humans just as the bible predicted in Rev 13. Oh, the darkness that is coming. Come soon Lord Jesus!!!

Palm Tree's and Perfect Timing
We made is far enough south to see some really different palm trees we never see up north. ( and yes it is milder down here for sure )
Timing was perfect for us to bless a couple in a motor home with some things we had extra of and they got the gospel too. ( they were broke down and waiting for repairs )
Out here, you see all kinds of people living in all kinds of different ways both good and many very bad! It is humbling at times and you really get reminded how temporary all of the material THINGS people strive for really are just fading away!!!

Egg Nog and the Heavy Fog
It is that time of year when people are consumed with all the trappings of pagan Christ-mass but NOT SO MUCH with the truth of Jesus Christ at all. I noticed people, all hustling to get gifts, trees and yes egg nog while the same people could care less about Jesus and His Holy High ways! So sad really....it is all lip service faith! As we drove on to the next town we crossed over a mountain and we hit some fog that was thicker then pea soup as they say! Thankfully it only lasted a short time. All part of the adventures on the gospel road as van dwellers!

A Self Made Home and How Far Did We Roam?
We saw this interesting home made camper house on the road and I though I would share it. Any shelter in a storm is a good shelter amen?

I was recently taking stock of the states we have covered in the last 4 years serving Christ on the road. I lost count after 20 and as for the miles, it is many many thousands and that is all before we went full time into ministry as traveling van dwellers preaching for Christ. The nation has grown smaller to us as we labor to make His truth known. Oh Lord, blaze the path for us!

Mountains and Methodists
I am so thankful that we get to see God's creation as we travel to preach! See these gorgeous mountains in southeastern USA.
I also had a awesome witnessing session with a man who is a Methodist co pastor at 3 churches. He walked up to sister Debbie when I was outside, then we talked for 30 minutes. He was warm and kind as we went over God's truth vs his man made system. He respected what I said, he commented he would look into it all and test me to the Word. It was encouraging, respectful and not confrontational as street preaching so often can be.
Gory to God....
God keeps sending us witnessing so we kept rolling!!

Presbyterian and Perspective
We stopped in a new town and asap we met a couple who saw our gospel signs. We got to encourage them in truth, to test themselves from their man made dead faith of Presbyterian. That is what we are all about folks; preaching the truth and setting folks FREE! John 8:32
Later, I saw a parked but very strange looking bus .....
It seemed to be a weird thing with flat front and back???
Only till I got closer did I see.....
It was two buses, parked side by side!
That is a lesson in perspectives!
If you see something from one angle or too far away you may be deceived. The same is true with God's Word. Do not just take a verse or two and form a theology or belief. No, get close, read it all, test for truth and do not bring your claims to the Word, but take away it's full truth, amen? How do you study His Word as most people have a very bad perspective indeed on the bible!
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Confession and Clutter
We see a lot out here in the world as van dwellers doing ministry.
Check out the cluttered truck we saw parked in a lot we walked by. It reminds me of confusion & how my God is NOT the author of confusion:

Next, God's spirit is at work out here.
As we walked through Walmart on a rainy day, I saw a man look at us and my Obey Jesus walking stick several times as we passed by each other. Not long after that he sought us out and began to confess he is living in sin and knows better. It was awesome as we listened and then I gave him the hard truth/encouragement that he needed in love. Thank you Lord for using us!

Today we drove past a beautiful southern lake on our way to a new state. Goodbye.... Missouri, Tennessee and Georgia, it was awesome but its..... time to move on!

Near Death and The Destruction of Meth
The timing of God was perfect and we met a group of people headed to a cult conference near by where a man claimed he was near death and he saw Jesus. The man is a false teacher and so we went there and I "open air preached" to warn people about him.

As we travel as van dwellers, we see the sad affect of drugs ( meth ) on peoples lives and it is so sad. I try to ministry God's truth to them and get them to repent/come to Jesus but their minds are often so clouded or focused on drugs, they just cannot see clear. It is our prayer some truth stays with them so when they decide to seek Him, they know where to turn!

In God We Trust and Gospel Singers
We did some laundry on the road ( a needed task ) and I saw this sign hanging up.
If you read your bible and then look at America today, you have to ask, what god is it trusting in? It surely is NOT my Holy God of the bible. So sad repent USA... repent!
Then as we were working the ministry on line they had some gospel singers in a separate room. I went and witnessed to one of them ( them all of them later ) and it always amazes me that people think they can be dis-obedient to the Lord in so many sinful even pagan ways but then just toss Him some gospel songs and you are good to go for salvation! That is a lie and God will NOT be mocked.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Pet Idols and Perfect Verses
It broke my heart! We were in our van parked for the night and a homeless looking man came up to us. He was tossed in jail and roaming the town looking for his lil dog that he had someone watch while he was in doing his time. I spoke to the man, offered him some aid and of course the gospel. He said he thought he was born again once but, he needs to find his dog as, that alone makes him feel close to God! Our sad culture is so lost, they have replaced a mere animal with God's holy spirit and Word for comfort!
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name / John 14
We we were out street witnessing and a brother text us some verses and they were PERFECT timing for us at the moment. It is always a blessing to see God work through others to meet His peoples needs! How is He at work in your life and are you seeking him today?
He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hypocrites and Hotrod's
What a day we had! We went to and witnessed outside a Mennonite body and believe it or not, they called police on us for
standing and calmly talking biblical truth with them for 4 minutes.
(I have it all on audio/video to come soon to show their hypocrisy!) We will have a entire post documenting this for teaching purposes but for now we know, Jesus did say they will hate you and persecute you!

We had stopped in a parking lot and I saw a bunch of men gathered around a race car on a Saturday morning. It used to be a drag race rat as a kid so I know their interest. It made we consider that IDOLS are not golden calves but those anything that replaces God as our interest, time, resources and pursuit. I am thankful God saved me from my idol ways!

$100 Bucks and Killer Trucks

About that same time, I was doing something standing near our van as a big semi came out of nowhere driving through (illegally) a very small area we were parked in ...
He was going like 15 mph ( very fast for the tiny space ) and he came by without considering anyone could be there. He passed like 2 feet from me and if I had turned to walk that way, I would have been killed! I was thankful to God! I mentioned to the man as he walked from his truck, hey I could have been crushed. He smiled, waved and walked away fast! I admit I was a bit upset in my flesh to be honest! About then I then decide to go over and ....... put a gospel card on his truck and told him I loved him!
It made sister Debbie and I remember this life is fleeting.

Salt and Sticks
Since I'm a keeper at home on the road and can't stock up in bulk like I used to so I have to be on the lookout for good deals. When we roll into a town I scout out stores that might offer what we need for the best deals. I came across 3 bags of this good 1 lb bags of salt for $1 each.
As we take our daily walks or do our shopping, brother Jim brings his stick. I call it the 'scripture stick' :-) He put 3 multi side sign on it...
We were walking through a store and a man saw the stick and said, with his very big voice, to his wife and buddy (and everyone else in earshot :-)
'HEY! You see that guys stick? Amen! Check out that dude's stick!!!!"
It's a good door opener and brother Jim shared a gospel card with him of which he was thankful.

Street Preaching Heretics and Holidays
Yesterday and today was an interesting line of events. We got approached by a street preacher to talk truth. Then he went and gave out website to his brother who messaged me and we talked truth also. He was praising the truth I gave him UNTIL... sin/false teaching was found in their body and lives. In the end, they both said I trapped them and I was satan! Imagine that? They both approach me to talk truth, I give them God's truth in love, their lies/sin/ heresy gets exposed and I trapped them? So sad....
That is all part of this life when you are out here, contending for truth and running into so many, most often unbiblical hypocrite men!

Today was what the world calls Thanksgiving. We did not do anything out of our usual day, we focused on serving God thankful to the Father for all good things. Ok, we made some usual dinner that we eat but sister Debbie got me cranberry sauce with it? :)
Here is the point, man made holidays come and go but it is what is of and for God that matters in the end!
We reject when thanksgiving has been reduced to shopping materialism, hunting, gluttony and football. No thanks....
I will stick with just the cranberry sauce and Christ.

Driving and Directions

False gods and Faulty Gospels
I got the chance to meet & witness to a Hindu man from India. he showed me his god on his necklace.
I proclaimed who Jesus Christ was, gave him a gospel card and encouraged him to read the New Testament. Did you know that Hindu-ism has millions of false gods, so sad!
As we walked, I met another man and it was such perfect timing. I shared that I was a traveling street preacher and he was moved to almost tears as I preached the gospel to him. I shared how the false gospel of American church cant save him. He said he is a believer but he is struggling with some sin areas. I told him to call me ( gave him our card ) to get encouraged anytime as he went back to work! We are amazed how God uses us, guides us and how His timing works out here! We are so blessed to serve our Father.
Proverbs 16:9 - A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Camo and Candy
We parked in a lot and I saw this boat all decked out in his duck hunting camo. The goal is fool the ducks to come in close to be shot out of the air. It made me think about how so many false theologies about God are wrapped up in satan's camo of deception today via man made religion.
Next, we were out in a town holding gospel signs on a busy corner. Not 5 minutes after we got there a young man walked by and I offered him a gospel card. He took it and listen to my gospel preaching. Then he thanked me and he handed me a candy mint.
Lots of things happen to me when out preaching God's truth in the streets but getting candy and a smile, it is a rare event! Thank you Lord and may that young man seek after you!

Cotton and Covered in Christ
We were traveling eastward and saw these cotton fields...
It made us think about how in the Old Testament (Leviticus 19:19) God told his called out people not to mix their fibers on their clothing. Today believers are not under the Old Testament ceremonial law but under the covering / law of Christ ( Gal 6:2 ) It is for those who have believed upon Him, repented, been born again and are striving in holiness and obedience until their end as fruit they are His. That is the good news gospel that we are covered in if we are in Christ.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)
We are on the gospel road, preaching the gospel to reach the lost for His glory.

Growing in God and Encouraging Good
We used to grow all our own food on our homestead before we felt called to GO for Christ. Today we stopped at and walked through a business that still had some awesome looking plants growing / for sale. It brought back great memories of a past; long gone by for us. The growth in those plants made me remember this verse:
2 Peter 3:18 - But grow in grace, and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him glory both now and for ever. Amen.
It is sad really, as so many today want the GRACE of God but few do want or are striving to GROW in the knowledge of Christ. This calls us to be holy, obedient, kill our flesh and in truth Americans really hate those concepts. They have been fed a diet of weak watered down luke warm unbiblical half truths via Sunday church. We aim to change that for those we encounter on the gospel road as we lovingly call them to embrace God's grace but also to get going in the knowledge and obedience to Him.
We also had the joy of getting a call from a single young woman who found dontperish and encouraging her in the set apart faith to build her faith foundation. What a blessing to be used of God in a way to do good and help others striving. Glory to God!
Our excitement is growing, up & away we keep going.....

When we are on the road we often stop at public places where we have our bible out and brother Jim has this sign on his bag...
..which often leads to preaching of the gospel when people see them and comment about God. Praise God!

Cheap Bread and Well Said
A small benefit of the van life is we get to buy discount bread at the end of the day as we roll into town. Of course; Christ is our real Bread of Life!!
It reminded me as we rolled on how Jesus very well said:
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

A PBJ and Things Cast Away
One of the things I love about the road life is if I look around, often we see things we rarely ever see. This can be big or small things in life from an awesome mountain view to a funny lil camper on the road. Today I saw a small thing that made me smile as I really like it and you rarely, if ever, see it.
A simple lil PBJ sandwich in a food case for $1.99 surrounded by many fancy sandwiches and others foods. ( never seen one of them before ) I guess in truth, I myself feel like that sandwich in life as a simple man in a so very complicated, fancy expensive world. Thank you Lord for simple things and your simple truth that saves!
We had to spend a little time cleaning up some issues from my past business life as a wood carver. I had been away from it for only 3 months and when I got around my old tools and such, it felt like it was a lifetime ago. I had in my heart and mind totally cast it all away to GO and serve God full time. It was strange to even be near it all again and it proved to me that we are now so set looking ahead, NEVER behind! I hope and pray you are fully set on whatever God has called you to do for His glory?

Tornado's, Tight Places and Trampling Grace
As we got up and went for a quick walk, I saw a interesting thing on a semi truck. It is a storm shelter for when a tornado comes. They bury it in the ground and you find shelter in it. They are really expensive and I am not saying it is sinful but, I wonder?
Do the people who get these also consider their eternal fate?
What are the chances of a tornado directly hitting you or, that you WILL one day stand before a Holy God!

Later in the day, we had to stop somewhere for wifi to add some content to our ministry site and do some business to support ourselves. ( we do not take anyone's money )
We often have to learn to fit into tight spaces ( small tables ) and work to get things done. It is a challenge on the road but we have grown to LOVE it! We have been given a desire to:

Fowl and Following Jesus
We went out to street preaching and were we parked, was a peaceful river and hundreds of awesome fowl that sister Debbie went down by and fed bread to. It was very beautiful sight, so calming and restful!
Then, as I was preaching the word in the streets today, I was struck with the fact that MOST in America say they are following Jesus who is Holy. But the truth is they keep false doctrine, pagan ways, they look like, act like, live like, talk like, dress like and entertain like the WORLD. How can this be? The answer is it cannot be as the bible is clear:
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
James 4:4
We pray some heard His truth and will come out to truly follow Christ in spirit and truth! John 4:24

Liars and Love
We got the chance to street preach in a busy tourist town. Sadly some people who just HATE God's truth called the police and LIED about us. They said I was chasing people down the street when we never do that at all. The police were understanding and we preached on. We know people will lie to stop the gospel truth as satan is a liar!
We love him, because he first loved us.

As we preached on, sister Debbie handing out gospel cards, I tried to preach to tell people we don't want your money nor do we want you to follow us. No, we do this as we LOVE God and people. We want them to have eternal life to come vs judgement for sin! We love with a fervor that has caused us to give up our jobs / careers and easy retired life on a pretty lil homestead. We don't sit and do gardening, hunting and fishing our time away in security and fleshly indulgence. God has called us to go and that includes risk, lack of comfort, to live out in the world, on the edge of society that can be very strange, dangerous and scary for most. It is godly love that allows us to forgive those who lie about us always and we preach on hoping / praying some come to the knowledge our Great God and are saved form the wrath to come.
We are moving on, hated by many yes, but loved by our God.

Heretics and Hope
I got the chance as we drove up to a new town to witness to then follow up with much truth to a young man who is in so much heresy, as he denies Jesus is fully God. I tried my best to correct his great errors in love and you can hear about that here via a audio:

Sunsets and Spirit Led
We rolled into our next town and we saw a interesting sunset forming. Remember it is not how a sunset starts....
but how it ends that makes it most beautiful.
We are blessed to both see such things and to be of the mind / heart to stop then give God glory in them. Sadly most people just drive on by not regenerated, too busy or daily distracted to give God His due.
Then as we pulled up to our very first stop (in the town I felt led to go to) a young man see's our van with gospel signs and comes over to talk to talk about the Lord. He and I chatted some and we plan to talk more so soon. It is a reminded to me to BE spirit led always and be thankful in how God works when we do.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

It was a brisk feeling in me ( knowing winter is coming as we head south ) but beautiful none the less. May God make a way for us as we roll on this fall.

Horse Clatter and False Churches Don't Matter
Van life gets you out there and you hear all kinds of noises esp at night of the early am. Yesterday we awoke very early to a strange sound of CLATTER and we looked out to see a Amish buggy go by. Oh well, that meant its time for morning coffee!
That same day we walked up to and by this false man made church I pondered how all of their false traditions and sinful ways will not MATTER in eternity as ONLY God's truth will remain. How sad!

Lakes and Liars
With thousands of miles behind us; today we drove by a beautiful lake today and since I spent much of my life near such places; it always gives me a smile. They are such beautiful calming places. As a Christian, I mostly now think of the refreshing we get in Christ that comes from His living water!
We also drove by a homeless man today that I remember as I witnessed to him and offered him my help to get back to work last year on the very same corner. He likes to make people think he is helpless and needing money for food when he is in fact a sluggard scammer looking for stuff without working at all. The homeless we have encountered in America thus far have shown to be 100% lazy lying scammers and it makes me sad. I give them all the benefit of the doubt but do not be deceived most are indeed scammers.
I pray they repent or they will end up in God's wrath; eternally.

Semi's and Smart Mouths
We had the joy to camp in another truck stop last night and it was a good stay. Not too many trucks really. ( any stay that is quiet and safe is a good stay )
The van life makes you THANKFUL every night for a safe place to rest as it is NOT always a guaranteed thing. We are grateful to God always for such things most others take for granite.
As we were out and about we ran across several older people who were rude and crude with their mouths towards others. Their smart mouth way was a stark contrast to what God has called his holy people to be. It made me think that we as Christ ambassadors need to choose all our words with great wisdom, grace so we can be salt to the world! I need to work on that myself. I admit; I really wanted to have some choice words for those smart mouthed seniors; but I did refrain!
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Shameless Politics and Stupid Church Signs
As we travel; we often see many "so called churches" and American Christians involved in idolatrous politics while the NT saints of Christ in the first century were NOT focused on that at all. They labored to obey God and to preach the gospel; not to change a political landscape!
We also see many silly and stupid church signs that demean our Holy God.
You do not "fall for Jesus" like some high school sweetheart! You repent and obey Him in total reverence! Hopefully you do not take joy in these foolish things from people who are void of the full truth of God.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Prov 9:10

Home Repairs and a Hypocrite
Today was a day when we found ourselves needing to make some minor repairs / needed work on our van house. We usually do it at one of the near by home improvement places; and this time it was Menards.
Those times ( working in a parking lot ) always teach you how to get things done quickly without lots of fuss and in this case; it was only a $10 cost after we used some coupons we had saved!
Later in the day I ran into a man I had witnessed to about 3 years ago. I sat down with him and asked him where he was with the Lord? He admitted he is struggling and that he is full of hypocrisy and various sins. We had a time of going over the truth of God to hopefully give him some new direction in life so he can repent and make corrections. The timing was perfect as usual and we are thankful we could be in his path just when he needed it.

I went in the store as we camped out and sister Debbie text me as cops were all around our van! It seems some moonies from a cult were pan handling the area and store workers called the police on them. As it was; the moonies had a white van too like ours and the police confused us with them! I explained it all to set the record straight. That is the bad news but the good news is I got to witness the gospel to both the moonie young man early and the police as well. God's truth cannot be stopped! I don't believe my Lord said shining the light in this dark world would be easy! Trinkets and Hats for Heaven?

Here are several men I saw who because of their Mennonite religion / man made false traditions, they all wear a lil black hat to belong and gather together. Can anyone show me WHERE the bible says we have to wear a lil black hat to know and serve God?

Cops and Donuts
Some of the things we get to see on the road are not good at all. Today we saw up close a drunk man have the cops called on him and he got arrested (I believe) for not obeying the officers. I was so sad for him as I used to be a drunk ( so was sister debbie ) and except for God's mercy and truth; we would be there still. I did not get the chance to share the gospel with him but, I hope God allows me to do so with many other men in the future. There is hope for that sad drunken man and it is the gospel.
Confession time: Brother Jim likes sweets ( esp bakery/donuts ) way too much and recently I saw this awesome smelling sweet case of goodies! Over the years I have had to reign that all in for God's glory. If I allowed my flesh to indulge itself; I would weight 400 lbs and not fit in our van. We born again saints are given power to over come and we are to kill our flesh. Mine may be sweets; but what is your fleshly way you need to kill for God's glory and how are you doing at it daily? I can report that I walked by that case and today my flesh is far more under my control then it was say even 1-2 years ago. I give God all the credit as His spirit and truth guide us on the way to freedom!

Kanye West and even Worst!
Being van dwellers.. we travel all the time and we meet many people and we hear many things, even if we are not involved in them. One such issue is a famous music rapper who says he is now.... born of God. People are so excited by it all!!
I did a testing of him to warn others in love and say we all need to use good biblical discernment:
Worst than people just believing a worldly rapper is now claiming a holy God, I had a man I was communicating with prove that he is both a liar and a lazy sluggard as he won't work to support his family ( he lies about it ) and seeks to get disability even though he.... CAN WORK at age 38!
I pray West is truly of God and I pray this other man repents or they both.... will perish!

Terry and the Truth
Sister Debbie and I stopped in a town and as we walked a man named Terry ( on a bike ) approached us and asked for some help. It was awesome timing as we got to be there for him and speak God's truth into him. He was getting some help from local denominational places with food and such but they do NOT preach the live saving gospel that a man really needs. He got the path of eternal life explained to him and he saw his great need for repentance to Christ. This is why we GO and do what we do out here on the road. God leads us by His spirit and in every town the gospel goes out to call the lost to new life. Glory to God!

Changing of Labor
I saw this sight as we pulled up to a food store.
A pick up loaded with fire wood. I used to do this all the time as we heated with wood and I was always cutting and storing wood. As I waited for sister Debbie I was thinking my labors have changed. See I used to labor much for things like that and know I labor for the Lords work full time. I really enjoyed cutting fire wood but I like serving God and storing up my treasure in heaven even more!
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Young Willing Amish Man and a Stubborn One
As we travel we often go through areas that have Amish and Mennonite populations. Today I got to witness to several of them and perhaps you would find it interesting to hear a audio of it. One man was kind and listened the other was stubborn and got a rebuke. Note: they teach so many man made false ways like false gospels and if you drive a van, you cannot ever be part of their community! In that they are so very sinful!

Lunch and Leaving the World
Just because we are on the road full time does not mean we can't eat healthy, though simple. Here is a sample of how we roll during a typical lunch. Thank you Lord for all you provide....
Sister Debbie was saying how stripping down our lives and getting rid of most of our possessions has really made her feel less a part of this fallen world.
I would agree 100%.
You really cannot see how INTO the world you are until you start the process to SHED IT for the service of God. While I am not saying you all have to live our way, I will challenge you to take stock our our situation and ask yourself this;
are you really ALL IN for Christ & focused on His kingdom most of all or..... are you fooling yourself?
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Falling Leaves
As we travel and come to new towns / places we get to see so much of God's beauty. Just as I mentioned to sister Debbie "we did not see a lot of fall color this year", we entered an area that had awesome colors and leaves falling down.
The changing seasons really keep me in check as I am reminded
that there is a time for all things. As I see my time fading on this earth at age 57, I want to make the best of the seasons I have left for the Lord's glory. How about you?

God's Timing and Laundry
I, Deb, want to share how God's timing is perfect. We pulled into a town and were trying to find our place to park our van for the night and ended up taking a different road because gps was not working right. As we finally pulled into the parking lot, my keeper at home eyes saw a sign that said 'Coin Laundry' and I asked brother Jim if we could take some time to do ours. We discussed if we wanted to do it tonight or tomorrow morning and decided that tonight would work best. Van life requires taking advantage of the opportunities when they come. I put the clothes in the washers and brother Jim said we should walk into the store for a bit and so we did. As we were walking around looking for sales I overheard a couple words from a man, down the aisle speaking to another man about God and a higher power. I turned around and said to brother Jim I wanted to go down that aisle and look at something so we did and stood right by them. Sure enough he was evangelizing to the man and brother Jim got out a couple gospel cards to give to them. The one man had to leave but the one who was preaching to him stayed there and brother Jim got to talk to him about the things of God.
It started off well with the man smiling and agreeing with the points of the gospel until brother Jim started talking about sins of man made religion. Then the man stopped smiling and started making bad excuses for the sins, stating that we have to be careful not to become legalistic (which means he's defending sin) and that we have to be careful not to get puffed up with pride etc. The same excuses we hear from those defending their sin and man made religious organizations. Hopefully he takes those truths to heart and repents. You can find the audio of that here:

As we were walking away I was thinking how perfect God's timing is. I, as a godly woman don't have a huge part on the forefront of spreading the truth like brother Jim, but I do see how God uses me to help in situations like this. The van life offers us many opportunities like this, in many different areas.
Praise God we are thankful and humbled to be workers of the Lord.

Picture Worth a 1000 Words and Using Your Talents
I was sitting down and drawing one of my cartoons that I feel illustrates God's truth with a powerful image.
It really got me thinking about how God give us all different gifts and talents as humans. Being in the van life, we see so many different people doing different things out in the world and mostly for the fallen sinful world. Of course what ever we use out in the world for God has to been done in purity an holiness not and compromise. Just a simple question?
What are your gifts and talents and are you daily using them for God's glory or for the world and your own selfish fleshly gain?
Of course you must be born of God via the gospel to serve Him.

A man saw our gospel signs and come talk to me. It started out very well in the Lord but it did not finish that way. He ended up telling me he trains fighters "as a ministry". North Carolina Has Saints!
Today as we were out and about in a northern big city, it can seem so lonely for a true Christ follower. The world is so lost and chasing so many sinful carnal things, it can wear you down if you let it. I smiled as I was reminded today of the fact their are always other saints out there (that I do not know of) all around the world striving in truth just as we are.
A man from North Carolina emailed, he has left Sunday false faith and we got to chat about the truth of God together. He loves God's truth and it was refreshing to my soul! It was another reminder to me that God is at work all around, even when we may not see it on any given day! I hope this post is a encouragement to all of you out there ( those I know of and do not know of ) striving in the Lords truth!

Demon in my van????Life is never boring when you live in a van and preach Jesus Christ and His biblical gospel. Last night we settled in late and I got a phone call. It was a false teacher that I had exposed and he called upset to try to get a pound of flesh from me. Sadly he did not have any biblical basis for being upset about my testing that shows his false theology. Item after item showed him in sin and his ONLY defense was to tell me that.. I have a demon! ( me Jim the preacher / then he hung up on me! ) I always test myself so I am confident to say, I have NO demon. This is a common practice when men do not have/know the bible to defend their false ways, they adhom attack the messenger. The pharisees did it to my Master Jesus in Matthew 12.
The only way you stand against these false men is to know and live the Word of God so you are blameless, able to refute their lies to not be not be swept away and to be glorifying to God.
How are you men doing at that?
But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Cops and Camping
We got the chance to stay at a nice county park with good camping and showers.
He kindly told me I cant park there overnight and showed me where to park. As we parted ways; I shared the entire gospel with him a young officer who simply did not know it. He thanked me then he walked away with our gospel card and things to think about for his eternity. It all made me think.
If we did not answer God's call to GO, he would not have the biblical gospel today. All the glory to God though as we are just his vessels for His purposes and we feel blessed to be His workers in this dark world!
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Truck Stop Woes
We had the unusual experience last night of having to camp at a truck stop as no other suitable place was available in the area!
As we rolled thru it to check it out, we did not see any level spots or any where we would not be in the truckers way. So we went into the store to get some things and I asked the manager would it be ok if we parked over night in the auto gas area vs the truck parking area? He said "NO PROB" and we were very thankful for a beautiful FREE level night camp spot out of the way and under a full moon by the way!
We had thankfulness and we are reminded from this a bible basic truth that we can loosely apply here. We asked the manager for the night spot and we got it. If we did not ask him, we would not have gotten it. So perhaps we need to ask God for things we really need in this life (as long as they glorify Him) and if we don't ask maybe that is why so many lack things like courage wisdom and strength. Something to consider?
You do not have because you do not ask God.

What could possibly go wrong?
We drove into a new town and I saw this vehicle and I am calling this photo; What could possibly go wrong????
It did not look very safe or wise to carry all that steel this way. I can only assume this driver may be cutting safety corners???? How many drivers and people go through life not realizing, the great danger they are in!
On the road; you must always make sure you are operating in safe ways lest you hurt yourself or others on the way. This is NOT unlike the spiritual world we live in is it? Are you today walking in a way that is the safest for your eternal soul or are you cutting corners? The ONLY place to be safe in is walking in the biblical gospel to eternal life and it is a daily thing NOT a one time act!

Too Comfy
As van dwellers... we do a lot of FREE over night camping at Walmart's. People may find that weird but for us we are very thankful for it. Why? Well, as nomads for Christ; we get to meet / witness the gospel to others, we are wise with God's money and we never feel too "at home" anywhere. This serves to often remind us we should look to heaven as our home and that really changes your mindset... think about it! We have found that getting too comfy can lead to idleness and complacency and so we choose to be more mobile for the Lord.

Kill Your Flesh
Living in a van 24-7 is a big flesh killer in many ways, one of which is comfort. Our seating in the front is your typical van seats which are fine but when we stop for the evening brother Jim's seat is the metal box in-between the seats and mine is the cooler. ( we got lil seat pads for them and it helps! ) On some days we go fishing / witnessing; that means we stop someplace and have a cup of coffee with the bible on the table as we work on ministry. Often people come up to talk about the things of God. At these times we don't always have comfortable seating there either, so when we do get a nice one, we are truly thankful. This is what we were blessed with the other day:-)
In a way we are thankful for the lack of comfort because it keeps us going, allows us to be flexible/flesh killing and it makes us appreciate it when it's available.
Romans 8:8 says ...we cant please God in the flesh!

Close to the Kingdom
To most people who see this it may seem like a total wreck and a mess. While it may be that indeed, my experience has been that the people who live this way (perhaps all they own is in this truck) are "usually" closer to being in God's kingdom then the upright business men or woman who has a career, 2 houses, 2 cars, fancy clothes, vacations, lots of debt and a big 401k. Why?
There is a certain humbleness that is required to enter into Christ and living with little to nothing is humbling indeed. It reminds me of the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector.
Luke 18:9-14
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Which one are you today? The person who thinks they are better then others or a fallen humble person who knows they need mercy so you seek Christ via repentance; turning from your sin to serve Him in spirit and truth? John 4;24

Not Looking Back
Van dwelling for Christ has so many WONDERFUL rewards and we will try to describe them daily here as we take this journey.
Today we experienced a really nice up side and then one of the down sides to this life! We headed down the road after staying in a awesome quiet city camp spot. It was a nice break from our usual Walmart spot.
Then just a short way down the highway, we passed a town that made us remember a brother who lives there.
We were once united to so closely but; he has chosen a different path and today we are biblically separated from him. ( this happens as you travel all over and pass towns with both good and bad memories ) We discussed it briefly as we love this man but then as Jesus said, we stopped looking back and on we went for the Kingdom of God! ( note: people will come and go in your faith life just as they did with Jesus and Paul ) This mobile van life really teaches you to keep your focus on Christ and that is why we chose to live it.
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Old But Still Useful
As we drive into another town, we stopped at a McDonald's to use the WIFI for ministry as we often do. I noticed (as usually) a whole bunch of seniors sitting all over the place, drinking coffee, talking worldly things / gossip and looking very bored, tired and quite purpose-less!
I have a real respect and love for the older generation as I am approaching it myself at 57. I am always ready to give them the hope of the gospel that changed my life. I just pray when I am in my advanced senior years, God will keep my mind and body just well enough to continue to labor for him a long time and not be idle. Our culture has lied to the aged ( filled them with meaningless things ) and I know God has a far greater purpose for His awesome creation ( man ) then what we see seniors involved in today. Use us Lord to reach some of them with your new life, hope and purpose found in the gospel of Christ alone!
Psalms 71:9
Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

As we drove into Missouri today and I dealt with various ministry issues involving coward so called teachers, a interesting though came to mind:

Lessons Learned and van dwelling Words
We learned two things today as van dwellers for Christ as we rolled into another state:
1) Kansas does not like the gospel any more then the rest of the states.
2) Any man can call himself a elder but MOST are not even close to the biblical requirements found in 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1

Two Men Going in Different Directions
This life of faith, preaching the gospel as we are serving God, is always amazing and at times, so very profound! Today we had just rolled out of a Nebraska town & on the highway headed east when I just glanced into the opposite side of the highway ( for some reason? ) and in a moment of perfect timing, I saw a truck driver we were very recently united to driving away on the other side of the highway. (what are the odds? / I think it was God ordained) Sadly we are not united today due to sin & disagreements but I messaged him to verify it was him and it was. I sent him our love and prayers, he thanked me and we both drove on, moving further and further apart. At that moment it totally struck me that these two men (both him and I claim Jesus Christ and were once very united) were now, going off in:
totally opposite directions!
It was a telling moment for me as a man serving God and I searched my soul over it all and I even discussed it with my wife sister Debbie. In the end, I know this separation has to be and the situation just reminded me deeply of one of my favorite verses:
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Amos 3:3
Note: there is always a chance for reconciliation. I serve of God of redemption but at the moment, there is none. See, many people who claim God are going in totally different directions all due to varied false doctrine & sin. I have to be just fine with that as I MUST serve my God of Truth and not look back! Luke 9:62
If you love God's truth and know His Word, I don't need to tell you that a true faith is one of unity and biblical truth, NOT compromise for unity sake. ( 1 Corinthians 1:10 / Romans 16:17 )

His Special Places
We drove out in our van; leaving Wyoming finally headed east into Nebraska. We stopped at one of our favorite places a FREE city park with a awesome river near by. ( water and showers available )
It is one of the many blessings of being a traveling preacher as we get to see awesome sites of God's creation. But we travel to preach the gospel and the Father ALWAYS provides that for us, his workers.

Broken Down Jimmy and the Gospel
We pulled up in our camper van to our night camp spot in a free Wyoming Walmart parking lot. I looked out the window and saw a man standing out there that I just had to go witness to. This is why we are mobile as he was a believer, he was down, I spoke truth to him and he was edified / encouraged in the faith as was I.

More God, Less Stuff
One thing we have noticed as we have now lived in our van in full time ministry for 6 months is that the more we shrink down our life & living space and reduce the things we own, the BIGGER God, His Word and His creation has become to us daily! It is a beautiful thing and we pray more people would strive for it per Romans 12.2 ( do not conform to this world )
